This is why statistics and whoscored are aload of shit.

Emmanuelson was great, i always loved him. And Daniele Bonera has been great since he came back. Much love to him

But a point is no good to anybody, sigh

Nah, it's still a very useful tool. It just never tells the full story. There are a few things you have to take into consideration first.
Was there even a MOTM worthy performance from anyone? Zapata or De Sciglio perhaps but none of them were brilliant. Just good.

Muntari was shocking until the last 25.

Emmanuelson or Zapata was probably motm.

No idea what's happened to Montolivo or just in general, we should be competing for the title not being closer to relegation than the top.

Serious mess atm, needs to be a big overhaul soon. Against the top 5/6 teams in the league we have one point out of 15 or so, with Inter coming up next. downright shocking.

The squad is not good enough. Poli, Matri, Robinho etc. are not worthy of Milan

Allegri isn't either. I mean, he got owned by Tito and Roura (while having a 2-0 lead) last season

I took a look at the Milan forum a while ago (it was after our 3-1 win against them this season IIRC) and it felt to me like pretty much everyone there wanted him sacked.

I can't even predict the derby this weekend. Both Inter & Milan have been poor, so I'm going to say a draw. Inter have the home crowd though, as well as a better derby record recently, so I'm hoping that helps.

Poli is (or can be) a good player. But Matri is shit, he should be a model instead of a footballer. And Robinho, well...

I'm happy that Milan eventually found their Mr. X!

I'll always remember Uncle Fester as the man who paid 12m for Matri

Gattuso has been suspected of matchfixing, his home was raided along with Cristian Brocchi's & some lesser known players. Four have been arrested.

The following Serie A matches being investigated: Milan-Lazio, Chievo-Milan, Milan-Bari (all in 2011), Juve-Lazio (2012), Palermo-Bologna, Pescara-Siena, Palermo-Inter, and Atalanta-Parma (2013).

Wish this isnt true. Would be heartbreaking to have one of your favourite players of old turn out to be cheats

Not sure what will come of it. There are three Milan matches being investigated all from their last scudetto winning season. If they are found guilty I wonder if they will retroactively be stripped of their title like Juve were in 2005 & 2006. Probably not if there's no proof anyone affiliated with the club other than Gattuso was involved, guess it depends on what's uncovered. Don't even know exactly what "proof" they have on him.

Gattuso: "I'm angry and I'm offended.I don't accept shadows casting over my career.I have no idea what it would take to fix a game"

Gattuso: "I would prefer to suicide instead than fixing a game"

Gattuso: "If it is demonstrated that I fixed a game, I would be ready to go out in a square and kill myself. What's the point to live then?"

I believe ^

Yeah, I don't like the guy but what would he have had to gain from matchfixing anyway? He made plenty of money as it is, he would have to be pretty stupid to try that while being that high profile. Guess you never know though.

In other news, Moggi's prison sentence for Calciopoli was reduced on appeal to two years & four months. Still unlikely he will actually do any time though.

And more from the Italian football FAIL files (since there isn't enough of that already today)...

The FIGC ruled to close Inter's Curva for the derby, because of chants against Napoli/Neapolitans by away fans at Napoli-Inter. They call it "territorial discrimination" & think it should be punished the same way as racism, when it isn't racism at all, but banter between rival cities that's been going on forever. From my understanding, the vast majority of Neapolitans aren't even offended.

So effectively this kills the derby atmosphere for Inter's side, but Milan's ultras might stand in solidarity, either by not showing up at all or by being silent during the match in protest.

Inter will appeal though.
