Fonseca was walking Milan into its worst season in recent memory. European spots are in serious doubt. That in no world can be excusable if you have players like Leao, Reijnders, Pulisic, Morata etc. I guess you can't blame people in Milan for trying to make something out of this season. They're a seven time European champion and although standards have dropped a lot, they are still there.
Seriously?
1) Reijnders, Pulisic and LEao were ALL made by Milan.
None of them was bought as a star, but as prospects (with Pulisic being an EPL reject as well)
These should thank Milan and Pioli for advancing/reviving their career, rather than someone demanding from Milan stuff because they have 'players like them'
2) European spots depend on the competition.
Competition this season is fiercer: better Atalanta, better Napoli, better Lazio, better Juve, better Fiorentina
Football is not like a contract with your Telecommunications company.
You don't play an amount and expect some service.
You have to earn it EVERY TIME on the pitch.
That's what some owners have to learn
3) 7 times European champion and history says little, when a club has fallen into such dismay and disarray for years and decades. Look at UTD.
History does not play football. It's all on the owners, board, directors to build a competitive team and live up to the history of the club
4) Fonseca did a great job so far, given the squad he has, and the fact that he was brought in to play good football, and not create a bus-parking team
Conceicao is also a top coach.
But as we see with UTD, no coach or player(s) can save you, when the head of the organization has no vision, no plan, and no idea what they are doing
