hi, can someone link me to a page that details how the barca youth setup (from as young as possible <ie. u10s> all the way upto the B team) works. i have no idea of how barcelona operate, but i do know that teams in my country (england) have multiple teams for the junior age groups. if there is no webiste that explains this, could someone please be kind enough to explain it themselves.

the kind of info i would like is how many junior teams is in each age group. and if any players have made it to the first team without always being in the primary team. also, what is meant by stuff like "Infantil A" or " Juvenil B", and what stage of the youth tree are these teams?

thanks guys

Afaik, there are two squads each from Juvenil to Infantil. The respective B-teams usually are a bit younger, so they play against older opposition in a lower youth league

Juvenil A: 17 - 18 years old (born 94-95)
Juvenil B: 16 - 17 years old (born 95-96)

Cadete A: 15 - 16 years old (born 97)
Cadete B: 14 - 15 years old (born 98)

Infantil A: 13 - 14 years old (born 99)
Infantil B: 12 - 13 years old (born 00)

For the younger age groups there are four smaller teams, so every kid can get enough playing time

Alevin A and B: 11 - 12 years old (born 01)
Alevin C and D: 10 - 11 years old (born 02)

Benjamin A and B: 9 - 10 years old (born 03)
Benjamin C and D: 8 - 9 years old (born 04)

Until the Cadete age, the kids are playing strictly among their age group. At the age of ~16, it's possible for a talented player to skip an age group and play with older guys. Most recent example is Grimaldo playing in the grown up B team at the age of 17

Never mind... Cadete B. So he is playing up with the 98's. Must have peaked already size wise. Good for him though. Hes looks quick amongst those boys.
