Should Barca sign a defender this winter?

Due to injuries and some blunder mistakes, Barca have often been too exposed at the back so far this season.

Should Zubi and Tito start looking for defensive reinforcements during winter transfer window?

We should either star grooming and giving lots of minutes to one or two of the kids, or get a new defender, obviously. Expecting Puyol to defy the laws of nature is just ridiculous.

Our best prospect, or best remaining prospect since Muniesa is always injured, is Bartra. He doesn't get any minutes and he'll be 22 in 3 months.
If it's gonna happen, it needs to happen fast with this kid.

Barta needs to be introduced, even if it for a few minutes here and there if possible else we'll end up with Biscuits at the back again, I see Del Bosque is using him as a CB in training.

without a doubt yes i dont say let bartra and dont make him get experience but atm we need someone experienced and very tall actually when we dont have Pique or Puyi we have real problems generally and in set pieces also

I'd rather Bartra is given chances now, because I don't think there's a wc cb available on the winter market. But on summer it's a must.

Signing any player in the Winter transfer window shouldn't be done except in extreme cases. Unless said player is supposed to spend a lot of time on the bench. With no preseason, players will take time to settle in with the team and get used to the playing style, especially if the player is from another league. That would be a major problem during the tougher half of the league. But if the choice is between converting Song to CB or get an actual CB that might take time to settle, the obvious prudent choice would be to get an actual CB.

Nah, he's been back for a short while I believe, but like Guardiola, Tito has zero confidence in him. He's even below Bartra in the pecking order, so go figure.

it's not should we,we MUST buy a CB.This what we have now is a bit embarrassing.It's fascinating how our squad actually got worse since 2008-09'.We let caceres go,chigry,henry,marquez,eto,ibra,yaya,hleb,bojan,keita,affelay and we bought masch,song(both midfielders playing as CB's),alexis,alba and villa who is benched atm.What's worst is we invested massive amounts of money.I must say we really made some bad decisions last few years and it's biting us back.

Never quite understood what happened wrt Botia but the conclusion has to be that the club simply didn't have confidence in him - for whatever reason...Even the player himself acknowledged that Barcelona never approached him or his agent before being loaned to Sevilla - going so far as to say it would have been difficult to say no had they done so

I'm not even clear whether the club still has a buyback option on the player, didn't that lapse this past summer?...I think that ship has sailed, unfortunately...If nothing else, he would have been credible depth - more so than Fontas, who had better not still be at the club in January

Just look at our attack, we have gone from a front three of Messi Eto Henry to Messi Sanchez Pedro with a net expenditure of about 150 m. What a scandal which some how goes un noticed
Madrids Management has done a far better job than ours in the last few years and this we have already started paying for and will keep paying for in the next few years.
How do you go from a defence of Marquez, Pique, Puyol, Milito, Cacares all of whom are internationals to Pique, old Puyol and a def midfielder Masc. with NET EXPENDITURE. Just sad, just sad.
