I actually think this Spain team looks pretty decent, besides the attack being fairly inexperienced. Also 0 Real Madrid players is always a bonus, so I'll definitely be rooting for them this Euros.

Watching U21 Spain Vs Portugal.

Cucurella has looked good with Gil. Mingueza struggling. One awful pass and was too aggressive in one 1vs1 situation. Too many amateurish mistakes from him. Doesn't look ready to play for Barca.

Gil looks good. This guy has some potential. Cucurella good too.

Luis Enrique seems to be just flaunting his anti madridismo every hour.

So Busquets gets covid.

He then proceeds to call 5 players to join practice but not officially in the Euro team. Those players are: Rodrigo, Fornals, Soler, Brais, and Albiol.

No like for like defensive mid replacement for Busquets. Well then, you can push Llorente into midfield instead of playing him at right back. Except you don?t call up Jesus Navas or Nacho to play that role.

You call up Rodrigo Moreno who has done absolutely nothing all season long at Leeds while refusing to call up the likes of Iago Aspas or Asensio.

Funnily enough, his excuse about calling up only 24 originally and leaving 2 empty spots was that the last two wouldn?t get to play anyway. Now, paradoxically, he has 28 in training while Busquets is out and the extra players came back from vacation without any certainty that they will still be with the team in a week at the tournament.

Brilliant management

Thought they can't do straight extras, just replace.

Personal feelings aside, taking smaller squad looks even more daft now.

He wasn't officially named up to the squad yet, he's just one of the players training in a bubble alongside Soler, Fornals, Rodrigo, Albiol and Kepa to be prepared if there will be more positive tests. Further, a few U21 players who have played against Lithuania last night will also be named today to join them.

Diego Llorente also positive. They have until Saturday evening (48 hours before the first game against Sweden) to decide what to do. Think they'll probably wait on Busi but call up a replacement for Llorente.

OTOH, Sweden also had two players testing positive, Kulusevski and Svanberg.
