Only surprise there is arda over munir .. mathiew is still an experienced lb and its risky to put digne there in a cup match after one game

No surprises at all. Lucho prefers older players. Which in itself isn't a problem. Problem is Mathieu had been a fuck-up as lb for last 2 years and Arda..well.. he's just a fuck-up.

Digne, Denis and Munir looked good during pre-season but we are naive to think it mattered.

Lord help us all if that's the case.

Arda is actually not that bad when it comes to LW. I think that's actually the one position i can see him fitting into this team. I hope that he'll be the one, that is Neymar alternative (and that way get less games too of course) so that Denis will mostly play the LCM position and get a ton of minutes, since we know Iniesta often won't be playing.

Only thing worse than Mathieu at LB is subbing him in at LB - at least we didn't see that ;)
I really hope he does better than usually there..

I didn t say anything about him being good.. i just said he s an experienced lb because he indeed played there for valencia.. we dont have another lb.. digne is coming from another league played just one half game.. you can t risk him in this cup game

What kind of retarded logic is this? We "can't risk" using our only LB so we'll opt to instead use the CB who screws up so often and so consistently as LB that it's easy to forget he's actually a decent CB? Him playing LB is a virtual guarantee that the opponent will score with him being at fault. But he's a better option because playing Digne would be a... risk?

Like do you even know what it is you are typing or are you just slamming your face on the keyboard?

And this is Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan we're talking about, probably top 3 hardest fields in Spain to play on as a visitor, next to Bernabeu and Calderon.

Anoeta put all of the stadiums you mentioned into shame.

At least from our point of view as a visitor.

Oh well, at least we'll see a lot of goals tonight:mathieu:

Just edited my prediction score in the thread to 2-1 Sevilla instead of 2-2, which i posted yesterday. Actually thinking about editing it again and putting it 3-1 just before the half hour before game prediction time expires, cause i see a blowout tonight through that left-hand side, Vitolo to score at least 1 and probably make Mathieu concede a penalty too. :banghead:

I'm kinda hoping for something like 3-3 so that we still have the upper hand, but also that Sevilla exposes the full force on how bad Mathieu is and that we don't have to see him ever again on LB. Don't know why would we see him in the lineup at all now that Umtiti and Digne are finally here, but i guess Lucho knows. :lucho: :banghead:

I obviously still hope for a win but that lineup... :( Disaster pretty much guaranteed with the ginger smoker at LB and Arda as a winger.

Maybe it's a good thing I won't be able to watch
