Definitely not like here..
there is no imported wine in any shops .. only local wine which taste like dirt (i kid u not )
u go to a restaurant and u pay for what u usually buy in a wine shop in Europe 200 % more.. for example the cheapest wine which cost something like 5-10 Euro u eventually pay around 100 Euro for it
I'm only allowed to come with 4 bottles of any liqueur from my travels (once per year otherwise i pay up to 100 % of the bottle price in the form of taxes ) .. i manage to squeeze in a bottle or 2 every time i'm away but it's usually Cognac , Champagne .. so i'm in dire straits man

i once ordered a DVD and i had to run down to the government censorship authority to clarify that
1- it doesn't contain porn
2- it's 100 % legal
3- it doesn't contain any banned material or banned movies

took me 10 days after the 3 days postal delivery ..

man over here they tax everything , u pay twice as much for any car in Europe.. twice as much for any mobile/video game/ electronic machine..u name it .

No problem with the current taxation system. You just make your country/economy a bit more attractive to foreign workers that provide a quality injection. The 1/3 foreign players in the league probe that it works. If clubs wanted to take advantage of that rule, than there would be a lot more foreigners in La Liga. It's not that such a rule only exists in Spain.
If this happens in the business world, it would be brilliant. You would boost your companies (which football clubs are, certainly the big two, regardless their legal statute) and your economy. They apparently fail to see that the signing of such players generates a lot of money in Spain. It attracts attention, it brings in tourists, ...

Socialists don't care. They want to see Ronaldo and Zlatan (and Real and Barcelona for that matter, the big bad corporations and their money grabbing employees/directors) give up their salary so the conscience of those politicans has been salved. Except they hurt everyone except those who are the target of their conscience.

I don't mind the taxes here, they are costly but not enough to discourage me from occasionally ordering DVD's and the like from Argentina, but damn that's awful, I could never live in the middle east.

It's reasonable to tax, I would have no problem with a slight increase in taxes on foreign players under different contexts, but when there's such overall rampant debt as it is this could kill the league as we know it.

It'll indirectly hurt Barca and Madrid in the long run when two thirds of the league are liquidated and the quality drops to the point where it becomes an old firm situation, eventually hurting the quality of the big two when they start winning the league basically by default and international attention becomes limited.

And don't give me that socialism is evil bullshit, the Socialist Party of Spain hasn't been socialist since Franco killed and repressed every socialist in the country, they are populist demagogic moderates using this as a smoke an mirrors act, blame the foreigners while the corrupt locals run the zoo. Comparing "recent" football history shows that a total of one whole team more has won the English league than the Spanish, and only once, while in Scotland the last time a third team won the league was in 1985. In fact, in the case of both the English and Spanish leagues, two teams (Barcelona and Madrid, and Arsenal and Manchester United) have been dominant for over a decade, and 3 teams have won the league more than once. If anything Spain at least has had two teams with roughly even success as opposed to the English Premier League, where despite fans claiming has the most competition in football, has been heavily dominated by Manchester United. While the idea that a few teams dominate is the case for every league, what damages the Scottish league is that two teams dominate to such an extent that every other league is a class apart and the third biggest club hasn't won in over 20 years. While you can go back in history and point out that England has had many more successful teams while Spain has had a couple of consistent superpowers, and this is true, but then we start getting into a different era of football and things become much more subjective.

I am not very educated on this issue, but how many players will be affected by this change to taxes? Also have the lower taxes brought in many players? Other than the Spanish speaking foreigners, La Liga doesn't consist of many non-Spanish speaking foreigners ( minus Brazilians because they are everywhere) I think most of the foreigners which are in Spain, play in Spain because of the little language barrier and money is just a bonus

Although I don't know much about this issue, isn't this going to balance out the leagues more in Europe? It will just take away the edge from La Liga

That is huge, and they may well suffer because of it. When you consider that currently Spain doesn't have tonnes of foreigners (a good thing) and that plenty of those come from Latin America (for reasons other than the tax rate) I don't think the league will suffer as badly as some are making out. Yes one of it's selling points will go, but the overall quality of the league will still be higher than France, Germany etc and players will continue to choose La Liga over others.

I wish I had your optimism, and this a basically proof that high tax rates alone aren't enough to discourage foreign attraction, however as I said before the problem is more about the timing. Premiership Clubs (and their foreign sugar daddies ) have long built their budgets with the idea that wages would have to somewhat compensate for the tax rate. Spanish clubs are going to have to completely overhaul their wage structure if they don't want to risk losing most of their imports, and when you have clubs like Depor, Valencia, Mallorca, Atleti, etc. all one financial issue away from implosion, you are asking for trouble. All these clubs are mainly staffed by Spaniards, but they all have key foreigners who it would severely hurt to lose. Even Barca and Madrid would have severe budget issues.

At least Athletic Bilbao would be in good shape.
