Tennis was much more exiting in 90s early 00s. So many colorful personalities and styles of play. Agassi, Samprass, Becker, Curier, Rafter, Coretja, Muster, Ivanisevic, Kafelnikov, Henman, Chang, Kuerten, Rios, Stich, Moya, Haas, Rosset. Last decade+ it seems there's 3 robots and whole lot of forgettable scrubs. Tennis has lost its romanticism the same way as footy it seems. Only physical specimens, who rarely make mistakes win tournaments.

2 robots.

Federer is anything but a robot. If anything, Federer is the biggest magician and crowd puller in history.

That may be so. I remember, when he started to become famous. That was the time i quit watching tennis as it started its decline. Maybe he became much better over the years, but i don't remember enjoying his style, when he first sprung out. Seemed very academic, without any particular trait. Just made less mistakes than others.

Mate, that's the First time I have seen someone describe Roger in that way.

The man is poetry in motion.

Everyone fawns over his aesthetic and stylish way of playing.

The array of shots he has in his locker is ridiculous.

Wont argue, as i really stopped paying attention, when he was still a young prospect. My favorite of all time was Agassi with his incredible curved balls from both forhand, which where insane, and backhand too, while mostly playing baseline only. Incredible stamina and will to win. Still remember that French Open final, where he was 0:2 down to Medvedev and looking a bit miserable and turned it around afterwards to finally win the slam on clay. Maybe i'm just nostalgic as for one reason or another i stopped paying attention to tennis, when that generation retired.

Serena retired. What a career behind her! I read somewhere than Williams are a tennis dynasty. A royal one if I might add.
