CAG is the more talented of the two finalists and came through a tougher draw. In most circumstances, he would be the fav, but given his 3 b2b 5 setters puts him at a slight disadvantage. But he's young so hopefully he still has some left in his tank.

Ruud won their last meeting, so I have some faith. Plus, he’s been to a GS final before. Hopefully all the 5 setters and nerves come in to play for the madridista in the final and ruins it for him.

Ruud won their last meeting 2-0. Was an exhibition game, but not like they held anything back.
Also, Ruud has improved a lot since that Miami final against Alcaraz. They have worked a lot on his backhand and serving, and it shows. Meanwhile, Alcaraz isn’t even close to playing as good as he did back then. He would be out right now if your compatriot didn’t choke match points against him while serving for the game.

Started playing tennis at 11:00 am and stopped at 15:30 siuuuuu. Stamina and leg-wise I am relentless. Do not get tired. Unfortunately my grip started giving away which affected my returning power and control. Have to work on that.

Do you return/hit ground strokes from near the baseline or much farther behind?

Near baseline and even inside lol. We are not able to hit that hard yet.

I bought a used racket and the tape round the handle was coming loose. So I used different adhesive tapes for makeshift handle and grip but I think it is very low on grip. So as my grip start to become a bit worse I feel it immediately makes a difference.

Was more curious about style. Near or inside the baseline is considered very aggressive (Federer and Agassi like).

Beyond the baseline is a Nadal or Djokovic type.

I just think it is because lack of technique. Only been playing a few times now. As we hit the ball harder we probably start to position ourselves further. I will buy a proper racket in 2 weeks.
