It's almost unheard of for Djokovic to lose to a non-top 10 player on hard court.

If he doesn't compete well in AO next season, it's probably lights outs for him. The movement just isn't there (in a sustained manner. He can still muster it up for moments like in the Olympic gold match but the tennis season is long and grueling).

Djokovic has been injury-free throughout his career, unlike Federer and Nadal. Might be genes or diet.

Nadal at this point seems done given all the injuries. Federer played his last 4-5 seasons with knee problems.

Genes, diet or luck. Or head.

Reaction time, giving yourself more time to get to ball.
Being smart when to hold back. Learn from past events. Keep cool.
Experience plays its part, but court IQ has very little to do when your knees or shoulders can't keep up.

What’s happening to men’s tennis when Fritz and Sinner are both in the US Open final? 🤣

Golden age of tennis is sadly passé, but hopefully a few new wunderkinds will appear soon and redefine the landscape of men’s tennis.

I like Alcazar. I see a future beast in him if he can remain injury free and work on his consistency across different surfaces.
