Are you surprised that the player with the most physically demanding game bears the brunt of the accusations? Doping in football and in tennis have vastly differing consequences. As much skill and talent is involved in tennis, physical advantage gained through drugs is a lot more relevant in tennis than football. The Spanish team, of all the ones, is THE team when it comes to showcasing the superiority of skill over strength.
Feuntes: "If I would talk, the Spanish football team would be stripped of the 2010 World Cup"
Any illegal means employed to gain an advantage over the opponent (even slight) is wrong, and doesn't alleviate your guilt regardless of the relatively differing consequences. Though I don't agree physical superiority has any more relevance in Tennis than in football. C.Ronaldo is one example. Amongst the best, but not exactly a skill-machine. And really, if what Rafa has achieved was more a product of doping, I wonder y others have not emulated his achievements. Because acc. to many he's some talentless mug, who just uses PEDs. Just inject a more talented player, and he'd conquer all.
Or may be just may be, Nadal combines talent with hard work and athleticism. Some people can naturally be more athletic than the others. The fact of the matter is if Nadal was just a top player without daring to upset the most decorated player in history, I doubt his detractors would really care about his rituals, his game, or the alleged shady business. Just like people don't care about a Gasquet, Troicki or Cilic, who btw were all slapped with doping charges. Just shows physical appearance can be misleading.
