I don't know really zam :p
Perhaps Djoko will choke a bit.

Except Gasquet will out-choke him. Coming off a grueling QF, and has no weapons to hurt Djoko. H-H: 1-11 to the serb thus far. I shall welcome an upset, however. But i don't see it.

She beat Serena already didn't she? Although stakes are "a bit higher".

And she beat Aga whom I remember you strongly detest :p

I don't take WTA as seriously post Graf-era to really detest anyone. :p There's just nothing exciting about Aga's game or personality.

Mugu on the other hand is lucid and likeable. She can rely on her serve and powered groundstrokes. But her volleying is weak, and she lets nerves get to her. She's also had a kind draw to the final on her weakest surface, where she will now be playing the indomitable one miss williams who's on a mission to surpass Steffi. (RIP tennis)

didn't watch gasquet-djoko. Seems like gasquet wasn't entirely toothless judging by the scoreline

Federer has got the edge on murray now and will reach his tenth wimbledon final

Villarato!
Roger is nuts. Automatic on everything, service, backhand, forehand and all while showing great shape. Hope Andy doesn't fluke any more sets.

federer is like messi, nadal, djoko are cristiano.
federer is elegance and moves from another planet, the ret is good but not unique

I'm a huge fed fan but can't agree there.
Djokovic is probably the best ever at returning serves. At his peak he is incredibly good, already one of the best ever at 28.
Nadal's mental strength and endurance are (were) second to none. Also, beat Fed in probably the best game ever (arguably), on his home turf as he was looking for his sixth consecutive Wimbledon.

Cristiano is vastly less talented and successful (trophy wise) than any of those guys.

The serena slam is well and truely on. I do think this Spanish player could well cause some problems in the final but serena obviously is the huge favourite. Let's see though.

Austrian Open champion, French open champions and now in the Wimbledon final. Onto the U.S Open then. I would love to witness her winning all 4 slams in the one year.

I don't see Federer losing two Wimbledon finals in a row to Djokovic.

He is destined for another 1 or 2 slams more before he retires.

It's really difficult with the level the other players are at.

He should reach the semi finals atleast in the U.S. open. Not sure if he can win it. It's difficult

Hope Federer wins at least 3 slams to end his career with 20

No chance in hell. Have you forgotten he's 33 (about to turn 34)?

If federer wins on Sunday (which I highly doubt since djoko is in top form), then he should retire in glory like Pete Sampras.

I'm a big federer fan by the way.

yea 20 is really too optimistic considering fed won 1 in three years and 2 in five.

Then again Nadal and Djokovic were unstoppable back then.

Federer is , I believe, the 4th oldest player in the top 100.

A 33y/o winning her 4th consecutive slam. The state of WTA. :shakeshead: (I always thought Uguruza looked familiar, finally realised its none other than J.Capriati)

Also, regardless of tom's result, no way is Roger retiring before Nadal. Not like Rafa is any relevant anymore, but its common knowledge that roger's primary motivation lately is to ensure his record stays untouched.

My prediction: Roger to seal his 18th. Given the weak playing field on the ATP tour, 20+ isn't far fetched at all. Outside Djoko, there really is no consistent threat. Few flashes here and there, but no real substance. I could easily still see him competing at the top till 36/37.

If Federer serves in the final like he did against Murray then Djokovic has no chance. Yes I am serious it was the best serving display I have ever seen. If Federer drops that level by even 1-2% then Djokovic will win.

I do agree with Zanela that 20 titles isn't that unrealistic seeing that he was never that athletic to begin with and doesn't depend on it like Nadal and Murray do for example. So yes he could go on to 36/37.

Only thing that would stop him continuing to that age will be personal reasons and wanting to be with his family more rather than his tennis ability.
