It's ridiculous how underrated he is on this forum. The guy was probably best cm in the world under Ancelotti. Miles better than what we already have.

If that is true, why doesn t somebody (Pep) buy him?

80-90 mil and it s done. City bought Mahrez for 70 mil, money is obviously not an issue. So why don t they?

Because they have Silva, KDB and Gündoğan in his position? Also if money was not an issue at all Jorginho and Sanchez would be City players. They are rich but they're also pretty smart with their spending.

I don't think Pep wants to worsen his relation with Bayern. I agree Thiago was at least top 3 CM in the world. Go back to this same thread when Bayern was under last year Pep and Ancelotti, most here claimed he was top CM. The issue here with some that they take things personally when they don't like the player and twist/exaggerate facts just to prove their narrative. An example is their insistence to post his 5 years playing minutes and not the past 2 or 3 years when he had an average playing time. By doing so, his playing time looks so bad since he was injured most of the times in his first two years in Bayern. If I hire anyone at work, I would look for his performance based on the past few years. I wouldn't care if he didn't achieve the sales target in 2012 or 13 for example.

Saying that, I would like to give Arthur a chance but if we are going to buy an experienced MF Thiago or Pogba are the ones we should go after.

Pep doesn't want to buy him because he's injury prone and he already has enough problems with Gundogan.

If Pep felt he was suitable, he'd buy him as Silva's successor in an instant, especially after they missed out on Jorginho.

Worsen his relationship with Bayern, lol.

He was having dinner with Uli last season and consulting him about who should be the successor to Heynckes.

And if Bayern put a player on the market, I'm sure they would be just devastated to receive a large sum of a cash from Guardiola.

Imagine the hostility!

You are something else really! It's like a vendetta for you. Everyone knows that there was so much tension in the last 6 months when Pep announced he is leaving. He was slaughtered by Matthaus, add to that his fall-out with the club's long-standing doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt. Doesn't mean he didn't have a working relation with the likes of Karl Heinz or Uli.

You need to take a break from Thiago's thread.

Right...so a few people at the club didn't have a great working relationship with him. But he still has an excellent relationship with the CEO and President of the club. And a week after they fired Carlo, Uli was meeting Pep for dinner to consult about manager options.

Sounds like a toxic relationship!

I just find your narrative amusing...When someone questions Thiago's transfer, immediately divert the blame to Bayern.

It's like yeah judging Thiago's injury history shouldn't be evaluated past the last 2-3 years because Bayern's medical team was conducting dodgy work...If only Barca had someone who shares same genetic make up as Thiago and who is also extremely injury prone to completely invalidate that ridiculous claim!

:p

Silva 32 going on to 33, Gundogan is even more injury prone, than Thiago and also...different kind of player. They have KDB, period.
Pep coached him in Bayern. If he was as good as you say, he would be in the City as we speak.

If he is available for 40-50 mil i m all for it. But anything higher than that would most likely be a bad bussines.

Actually, your narrative is more amusing. So how do you know Pep has an "excellent" relationship with the president and the CEO? Based on dinner? like you said it was more like a business dinner to consult him. So my conclusion he has a good business relationship with the president but I can't say it was bad or excellent. Again, twists facts and provides misinterpretations in an effort to appear infallible. You are using "sophism" in most of your arguments here.

Take a break buddy and sleep comfortably. Most likely we will end up with Dani Parejo, not Thiago!

Sorry George, you aren't convincing anyone.

And I slept just fine, it's only afternoon here and a wonderful summer day. I hope your day is going just as good!

Good stuff. Pep gonna ruin relationship with Bayern if he comes after a player they're willing to sell. Guess that's why he doesn't take our Gomes. Doesn't want to hurt us.

This is true at the end of the day.
If Thiago is THAT good, all teams would have been after him.

But not even his father, Pep, is after him.
There is always a reason.

Having 3 similar, weaker players in a team, is not one of them.
That is like saying: we don't need Verrati because we have Gomes and Denis on his position. Ok, these two are very poor, but the point stands.

Pep doesn't want him after Bayern years. That is a huge warning sign.
