thiago and canales just pulled off the same set piece move that they did in the U-19 championship to put spain 1-0 ahead.

perfectly weighted chip over the wall for canales to run onto and score

they guys are the future of the Spanish midfield.

i can also see what mide cule is talking about when he said thiago could replace xavi, he has been running the midfield for spain, everything goes through him

I almost posted the post about the freekick before you  they had a similar freekick at the U-17 Euro,The Future of Spain Canales and Thiago, its a shmae that Canales is already a Madridista, anyway from the highlights it looked that Bojan missed a tons of goals

Xavi es mi hombre
OHH MY GODDD... Thiago is a wonderboy! His passes were accurate and his footskills! Beautiful. He did most of the midfield work for Spain..supplying the ball to the forwards with close to perfection accuracy. Perfectly taken free kick that led to the winning goal as well!

Seems as if his little brother left quite an impression on the brazilians in the friendly they played against barca C, the other day.

The article is in sport, i think their is something about not posting spanish on here

I really want to watch the kid,I have also read that article and even Pato saying that Rafa is quick, talented,I heard that he is more of a CMF more than his brother, but unfortunately no videos foe him,he is still too young, hopefully he will turn out to become a world class midfielder, maybe not here because JDS-Thiago-Roberto are here,I would be really surprised if Thiago_Roberto fails to make it here,so it will be hard, very hard for Rafa to make it here, anyway it looks that pep rates him,he trained with the first team being only 16

Yeah he is more of a CM, and a damn good one at that, I rate him higher than JDS, but he seems to be pep's bet project.

you have been taking a lot about thiago taking over the xavi role, when you see this kid, you are going to say no way

I've seen a bit of him and he has the barca DNA more than his brother was born to play for us and to be a CM, more of a leader of the pitch as well

I have always heard many good things about Rafa,I wanted to watch him in the U-17 Euro but he was injured,he lookd in the mould of a deeply playmaker, your talk has excited me to watch him but its highly unlikely he will feature with the B team this year so maybe he I will have to wait for another year to watch him, anyway in the future we may have 3 types of different styles of midfielders 1-Rafa/JDS 2-Thiago:if his future is in as attacking mid not in a deeply role 3-Sergi Roberto:I dont think we have a similar player in the academy, its also interesting to see that the academy produces one great talent in midfield every year 90:JDS,91:Thiago,92:Roberto,93:Rafa,its clear that we dont want to sign any midfielder in the next 10 years,id those players fail to make it,then we have some players who are willing to come here(Pastore-Cesc)

In what sense?

I guess it comes down to the fact that Rafa was 12 when he arrived to La Masía, while Thiago was already 14.

Being at such a tender age he must've had a more in-depth learning curve than Thiago.

I presumed it's because Thiago is quite openly flashy whereas Rafa is more methodical/knows when to pass first/play the simple option?

I haven't seen much/any of Rafa, so I'm guessing here.
