I thought he had a solid game yesterday. Made 1 mistake during the 90' were he misjudged that low cross but redeemed himself by plucking the resulting reverse cross above Ronaldo.
The goal by Marcelo he could have done better, but it was by no means a howler.
The witchhunt to counter the fanboys is every bit as absurd as the hyping.

No witchunt lol. I wonder if you people even read the comments on here before terming every critisism on Courtois as witchunt, bias, fanboyism etc. If anything then most people if not all acknowledge that he is awesome.

It went straight on him and he missed it, he should have saved that shot, it was a mistake.

I think I've read more comments then you. You should have gone through the MAtS thread. To counter the media's call for Courtois there has been the urge here to take a magnifying glass to everything Courtois does. There's no need to lower the bar set by Courtois for TS. It annoys me that there are so many insecure people on here that feel the need to do that. It makes things look as if there's no confidence in TS.
And comments like yours "If that was TS, we'll never hear the end of it...." annoy me. Courtois has built a reputation the past 3 years because he rarely makes mistakes. I wouldn't even call that Marcelo goal a mistake. He could've done better, but that's hardly a mistake you'd crucify a goalkeeper for.
Yes, the media will compare TS to Courtois. But if TS does his job, delivers when the team needs him and limit his errors to be big exceptions. Then he'll have no trouble turning them around.

Courtois said on numerous occasions that he doesn't want to sit on the bench or rotation à la "you play the cup and you play the league games". It'll be interesting to see how this develops.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mourinho is just unsettling him before the potential wc game with Portugal

Contrary to what Mr. Graham hunter want us believe, Mou has been a big proponent of bringing TC back to chelsea. He's been recently at war with CHL's gk coach who rather cech extend, and TC go on loan again. Mou already spoke to the belgian before the Barca game. If it were up to mou alone, he'd put Cech on the market, but the latter has strong support within the club, including that of one Roman. May be Mou 'll have his way on this one.

After the CL exit, I personally thought Mou will let his ego interfere his decision-making. But he's pragmatic, and a shrewd player, I've to admit.

There's been numerous articles flying around saying he might put Cech on the market to use Courtois to avoid a bad situation developing at the club. Heard it might be in January though.

Courtois won't sign an extension if Mourinho doesn"t play him this upcoming season (runs out in 2016). Chelsea will not risk losing one of the best GKs for the next 10 years by keeping hold on Cech.

He apparently said good bye to his team mates and the staff and picked up his belongings. He is returning to Chelsea.
