We already have Pique, Puyol and Mascherano. Adriano can play there if necessary too. One CB is enough. We will need to buy more in the near future but we have the money to do that.
We are in some deep $hit this season-deep. Even Arsenal have a transfer kitty of 116 million. RM are really strengthening their squad-Isco, Illara and more to come. I see us being second tier in both La Liga and CL this season. I make Real favourites for La Liga-Ancellloti will be the right man for them. In the CL I see Bayern and Real as favourites. After that I figure Dortmund, Juve have a chance. I put PSG as outsiders to win the CL.
If we win the CL I will be astonished. There is too much infighting at the moment. Too much incompetence from Rosell and Zubi. Tito is not a top coach and struggled in the CL last year. Our team and tactics look outdated too. Tito still doesn't have the answer in regards to Xavi. He is simply not effective. He just hits short, safe passes and does little else.
Puyol obviously cant be relied upon. Adriano is one of the most injury prone players in the world. With Puyi and Adriano out most of the time, Pique and Mascherano will have no competition and they will also be overplayed, further increasing the chances of injuries.
How many times he got back from injury and got injured again?Countless ...in those around 33/34 games you say how many times he started the game and finish it or he started the game and later got subbed off and how many he came off the bench.Adriano is not 'one of the most injury prone players in the world'.
He has played an average of around 33/34 games a season as not even a first choice player.

The number of the players you have doesnt matter, what really matters is the quality

Marquinhos is still unproven.
Pique, Mascherano and Silva would cover most of the games easy. Puyol will still be able to play many games. The addition of Silva will decrease the chance of injuries. Adriano is an emergency back up.
I hope you have a different outlook in real life, you are far to pessimistic. Arsenal may have a large transfer kitty but they haven't spent any of it and won't be in the market for the best players, Real have signed 4 players and are looking good but Ancelotti is not as good a coach as Mourinho, I see them being weaker this year in terms of outright performance. Bayern will be strong but Pep may not do as good a job as Jupp did, there is a big question mark over him at that club. Juve have made 3 good signings but are still a long ways away from Barca and we have not finished yet either.
I think we will make 2 or 3 more signings this summer, Thiago Silva is the priority and rightly so, when he is signed the club can then focus on rounding the squad off for the new season. I don't believe anything I read in the press, those guys have to fill a paper on Barca everyday most of it is rubbish. I think we are looking very strong, we have a very young squad with players approaching their peak years like Messi, Busquets and Cesc with others like Iniesta and Thiago Silva (if/when signed) in their prime with young dynamic players like Neymar and Tello who will get better every year. Just a few tweaks here and there and we will be the best again.
The Champions League depends on alot of luck, but to be honest I see only Bayern who are looking stronger right now but that could change by the end of the summer.
He is one of the worst players of United, how can they still have faith in him...
I wasnt talking specifically about Marquinhos. But you cant say we have a safe defense and that doesnt need big impovements. From all the examples you mentioned of our defense:Marquinhos is still unproven.
