We already have Pique, Puyol and Mascherano. Adriano can play there if necessary too. One CB is enough. We will need to buy more in the near future but we have the money to do that.

Puyol obviously cant be relied upon. Adriano is one of the most injury prone players in the world. With Puyi and Adriano out most of the time, Pique and Mascherano will have no competition and they will also be overplayed, further increasing the chances of injuries.

We are in some deep $hit this season-deep. Even Arsenal have a transfer kitty of 116 million. RM are really strengthening their squad-Isco, Illara and more to come. I see us being second tier in both La Liga and CL this season. I make Real favourites for La Liga-Ancellloti will be the right man for them. In the CL I see Bayern and Real as favourites. After that I figure Dortmund, Juve have a chance. I put PSG as outsiders to win the CL.

If we win the CL I will be astonished. There is too much infighting at the moment. Too much incompetence from Rosell and Zubi. Tito is not a top coach and struggled in the CL last year. Our team and tactics look outdated too. Tito still doesn't have the answer in regards to Xavi. He is simply not effective. He just hits short, safe passes and does little else.

I hope you have a different outlook in real life, you are far to pessimistic. Arsenal may have a large transfer kitty but they haven't spent any of it and won't be in the market for the best players, Real have signed 4 players and are looking good but Ancelotti is not as good a coach as Mourinho, I see them being weaker this year in terms of outright performance. Bayern will be strong but Pep may not do as good a job as Jupp did, there is a big question mark over him at that club. Juve have made 3 good signings but are still a long ways away from Barca and we have not finished yet either.

I think we will make 2 or 3 more signings this summer, Thiago Silva is the priority and rightly so, when he is signed the club can then focus on rounding the squad off for the new season. I don't believe anything I read in the press, those guys have to fill a paper on Barca everyday most of it is rubbish. I think we are looking very strong, we have a very young squad with players approaching their peak years like Messi, Busquets and Cesc with others like Iniesta and Thiago Silva (if/when signed) in their prime with young dynamic players like Neymar and Tello who will get better every year. Just a few tweaks here and there and we will be the best again.

The Champions League depends on alot of luck, but to be honest I see only Bayern who are looking stronger right now but that could change by the end of the summer.

Adriano is not 'one of the most injury prone players in the world'.

He has played an average of around 33/34 games a season as not even a first choice player.

How many times he got back from injury and got injured again?Countless ...in those around 33/34 games you say how many times he started the game and finish it or he started the game and later got subbed off and how many he came off the bench.

The guy is injured about once or twice a month while Puyol is a 35 year old with close to a dozen surgeries. Relying on Puyol and Adriano for our CBs is a tragic mistake and we will be forced to play playing Edgar Ie and Sergi Gomez in the CL semis with such stupidty.

The number of the players you have doesnt matter, what really matters is the quality

Marquinhos is still unproven.

Pique, Mascherano and Silva would cover most of the games easy. Puyol will still be able to play many games. The addition of Silva will decrease the chance of injuries. Adriano is an emergency back up.

We need 4 CBs we can count on if Bartra is not trusted. And 10 minutes of play time last season suggest he is not trusted by Tito. Puyol will be able to play many games? Really? Thats news to me. There is a high chance he will even retire in a few months if the 11th surgery he's recovering from fail to heal him. And Adriano also has to be cover for the full backs.

We have always had to use makeshift CBs during the CL games because of our inability to have proper cover at CB. With only 3 CBs plus two of the most injury prone players in the world as backup, we are risking our CL ambitions yet again.

We could easily be smart and buy 2 CBs for around 40m or less (this obviously means stay out of whatever P$G is up to).

Thiago Silva and? What position do you think we will strengthen apart from CB?

He is one of the worst players of United, how can they still have faith in him...

Put it this way: he's their best winger at the moment and he's not even a natural winger. His finishing isn't great but his general play is very good for a youngster. I definitely think you're under-rating him.

I wasnt talking specifically about Marquinhos. But you cant say we have a safe defense and that doesnt need big impovements. From all the examples you mentioned of our defense:

Pique has become bad and lazy.He doesnt work hard because he has a secure place and the reason is because there isnt anyone to give him competition or even more be better and bench him.
Puyol as we know is 35,very injury prone and as the time passes he gets injured more and more often.
Mascherano is really not a CB,he can work in rotation with the other player for La liga games but cant be for big.Plus that he doesnt have the height that is needed for a defender and especially to a team like Barcelona that doesnt have many tall guys..
And Adriano you shouldnt even think about it..Injury prone, short with no experience in the position

If you look at all these reasons. We need 2 CB for being starters

I think 1 CB is a MUST for us to get now and 2 is good option too. The GK thing is makes me don't understand, Valdes will leave in the end of season and all whole universe knew about it, if we don't buy GK this summer or winter then other clubs gonna think "OMG!!! Barca is looking for a GK, if they offer to buy mine I'll put high price as they need it badly".

Mascherano is a full time CB. That's all he plays for Barca, he won a Champions League final there. Pique doesn't have competition? Silva would give him that. Puyol is injury prone, but there's no guarantee that will continue. With the addition of Silva and more rotation, that would protect him from injuries. Adriano is emergency back up, he has some experience there now. He's not been great there, but he's done ok. If we can draw with Madrid with him being CB, that's more than good enough for fifth choice.
