I rarely watch Arsenal, but everytime I watch them Koscielny is horrible.

I think Agger would be a good option. He'd be cheap and then we'd have 4 CBs; Pique, Puyol, Masch and Agger. Even if it's only a few years, it gives us more time to find a long term replacement for Puyol.

Yeah, we would have 4 decent CBs and as the best team in the world that really isn't good enough, is it?

Not just Arsenal, i think the standard of defending in the EPl is poor at the minute.

if we're looking for a top class defender Italy or germany would be where i'd look.

Has anyone seen a lot of Andrea Ranocchia for Inter or Marquinhos for Roma. I know Marquinhos is only 18 so he may be one for the future.

Wouldn't Chiellini be immense for Barca? What of Badstuber of Bayern who could play CB of LB. Cant see their clubs willing to sell these players to us though.

And that would be the barca problem; we require players of the highest quality who would cost a lot of money, and who's clubs are unwilling to let them go.

Chiellini is no go. Juve won't sell him unless we pay 35 mio. €.
Badstuber is overrated. He plays a lot just because he's a Bayern product. Otherwise Dante>Holger.
Marquinhos has been realy good this year. Great CB, especially if we consider his age.
If I were Zubi i would go for Vermaelen. I know his season so far is quite poor, but he looks like a CB that could play alongside Pique. He is not my first choice, but considering the price(15mio) very plausible option. The best solution would be if we could swap Song for him, and play Masch as reserve DM.

Cant see City parting with Kompany; not for 22 mil neither.

Although im certainly in the 'yes please' camp. He'd be awesome for us, certainly in last year's form

Kompany signed an extension till 2018 last summer. Can't see him leaving City for less than 35-40M

Would be awesome, but it's not happening. Definitely not for 22 mil.
I so wish it was true though.
