Tottenham and Levy are not the problem at all.

Why do sportsmen who not respect their contracts get a free pass from people while it's a job like another.

Levy did the right thing to ask for that price tag. Perez is a prick who pushed hard Bale to clash with his club. Bale doesn't care about what he signs at all.

I don't accept it as if it was nothing when people do that, whether it's footballers or the next guy in any company. That doesn't mean i dislike what Bale is on a football field.

99M is too much, but Levy has all the right to push for that price since he's the one forced to sell Bale by Bale and Perez.

If he had the choice, Levy would have kept him. I actually think it's good that Levy didn't just bend over to Perez as if RM had all the rights. Perez paid a lot. It's good.

The football instances care a lot about clubs finance, but they should also write text for players who trash over their contracts, and write texts against clubs that act as a submarine to push players to clash.

Its a shame that so little players respect their contracts now but lets face it money talks. Its no different to a CEO of a company moving to another firm for more money or a higher profile job. At the end of the day Bale gets what he wants and Spurs get compensated, in fact they get overly compensated. It's a win/win for all parties involed.

He's a prick. I don't care if he's good. What he did to be able to leave is what a prick does (and yeah, from my pov all the footballers who do the same are pricks. And I'm happy that a few respect their contract. Example: TS).

That said, I like what he does on the field. But being a fan of what he does on the field doesn't blind me at all. He's a prick who did shit over his club and his contract, and his PL fans.

And yes you're right, many players didn't Worth their price tag.

But imho, Falcao and Cavani are closer to their real price tag than Bale is.

I mean, Falcao and Cavani real price tag should be around 40 millions, same as Bale when you think about it.

It's like RM paid for 2 great players.

Now, Perez is betting that just like Ronaldo, Bale is alone worth 2 great players on the field. Let's see if he's right.

I won't judge him before the end of this season.

What exactly has Bale done? Tottenham cant afford to miss out on 100 or so million and they've told him that. RM asked him to rebel and to come out and do a Suarez but he refused because of what Spurs have done for him. Also he's been at training all this time and has been happy. The only reason he aint playing is because RM dont want him to get injured when theres a big deal going on. For 3 years teams have tried to sign him, notably Barca last year , but he has stayed. When he ripped Inter a while back , he had about 10 offers ( exaggeration ) the next day. But he refused to stay at Spurs. Bale has been amazing in this deal. He wanted to stay until RM said " now or never " and if he doesn't want to miss this chance of his. His price tag in inflated , no doubt there , but he has driven that price up by staying quiet. If he comes out and says "I wanna leave" his price would shoot down to around 45-50 because ' the player wants to leave , so you have to sell , we'll give u 50 take it or leave it ' He has done really well to help Spurs. And to be honest if we had a chance to play for Barca or Real we would jump at the chance with our tail waving. He isn't following money , if he was he would have went to PSG :p ( jk ) . No iam joking , if he wanted money he would have went to a club like Zenit or something and waste his career.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger accepts his hopes of bringing in Real Madrid's France forward Karim Benzema, 25, depend on the Spanish side signing Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, 26, from Liverpool. [The Guardian]

Manchester United, Arsenal and Paris St-Germain all want to sign Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria, 25. The Argentina international wants to stay and coach Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep him - but Real directors believe they can raise around £34m by selling him once Tottenham forward Gareth Bale arrives. United and Spurs are also considering moves for Real's Portugal left-back Fabio Coentrao, 25. [Marca]

Tottenham have opened talks with Steaua Bucharest over a £7.5m deal for Romania international centre-back Vlad Chiriches, 23. [Daily Mail] I know the Daily Mail is frowned upon as a source but this has been reported elsewhere AFAIK, I believe SSN have reported something similar.

Bale forced his transfer. As reported by the dude who covers the PL at RMC, he openly had a bad discussion with Levy who didn't want to sell him, then plainly refused to talk to AvB and his teammates. And he didn't come "training" per se. AvB reported himself how he was coming to the training ground, but by himself stayed far away from everyone just walking in the background while refusing to talk to anyone and refusing to play any match with Tottenham at all.

I too can go to work and stay sit down in the hall waiting for time to pass. And you know what? It would not be normal at all, nor a thing you do "out of respect". The only reason a person would do that would be to force his boss to fire him.

He actually did everything Perez asked him too. He clashed with Levy, then stayed away from all the team and refused to play any match or even train with them.

It's not the first time Perez does that, the same happened with Carlo, and it happened even before that.

I'm 90% sure there was a quote from Perez in 2009 saying "if you want to join us bad enough you force your way out" or something like that.

That's exactly what Hermel repeats about Perez every time Perez does force a transfer.

But Hermel is kind of ok with that because he likes RM and he thinks it's an effective way to get the players RM wants.

I dislike how perez does it but I respect Hermel for not lying. People may dislike it but at least he reports the truth, not some Lala-land pink story about how Perez gets what he wants.

To be fair its easy to respect your contract Thiago Silva style when you are already the highest paid defensive player in history and it results in you getting an even more obscene wage increase. Its not realistic to use Thiago as a benchmark, as if his respecting contracts Spiel was true he would have never left Fluminese or any of the other clubs he played for without leaving on a Bosman. Bale is rumored to earn Kaka level money at Madrid, something willl never be possible at Spurs. ON the other hand any transfer of Silva would see him having to take a pay cut.

What?

TS said many times he transfered only when the club was ok to transfer him or wanted him to go. He never forced it. Fluminese was ok to sell him when Leo showed up. Milan wanted him to be transfered. Both time he accepted what the club decided, in the second case not what he would have chosen if he was the only one to make a choice (leaving Milan)

He respects his contract or transfers only when the club is ok with it in both way, if the club accepts an offer (Fluminese), or when the club asks him to leave (Milan).

Recently he explained it again on beINsports in France.

And about his wage increase, you didn't follow the situation at all do you? I don't blame you, but in France we followed it closely. Retaining only that his wage increased is misleading.

- Nasser has unlimited money to spend as long as QSI is ok. So paying their team with high wages is not a problem and they don't see why they should not.
- QSI greatly disliked how Barcelona pushed for a transfer.
- Nasser higly disliked how some spanish medias plainly lied about what was going on (confirmed by TS on beIN sports in which he too complained about some one-sided medias who just use fake stories whenever it serves them.)
- TS repeated four times in a row that he will not leave because he always respected the club wishes in which he is Under contract and because he feels good at psg. And that is before discussions about extending his contract.
- Nasser then wanted to extend his contract. Because he wants to keep him till the end of his career, because he wanted to indirectly trash those who want to try to compete with QSI. And because TS is a close friend of him now. TS said himself how they are close friend again recently on beIN. Actually, he even often talks with the Boss Al Thani. QSI really values him a lot. As a player, and as a person.
- TS was Under contract till 2017 with a club that said to him there's no way, even for a billion that they would transfer him.
- TS had no reason to refuse to extend his contract because in 2017 he will be already old for a football player.
- TS now knows that at least he'll be the captain of a good european team till 2018 (He said on beIN how he actually likes to be the captain since he tasted it at Milan)
- He said on beIN sports that he dislike how sometimes medias lie about him, like "wanting to clash and all", because he never did it, and doesn't want to do it. Plain and simple.

Really, nothing to do with Bale case at all or any players who force a transfer or trash their club.

As he said it himself (check the TS thread), the dude doesn't even have grudge against Porto who put him in the Team B while they promised him to be part of Team A. Even the french journalists were in a "wow" state, because TS is like that. He doesn't even have grudge when people actually trash him, because he doesn't look back, and because he fought to live (he almost died from an illness), so petty fights are not for him.

Tuberculosis.

He explained on beIN that he was already feeling something was wrong when he was at Porto, but was too overjoyed to be in Europe to think about it.

Then he landed in Russia, that's where his illness got really bad. He almost died.

He then spent 6 months fighting for his life till the doctors gave him a choice:

- To stay in that state and maybe die Young
- To cut one of his lung

He refused to lose a lung. Then doctors said he was a lost case and they could not do anything more for him then since he refuses the surgery.

It was a doctor who was employed at Porto who helped him.

A year later he was back on track. Kind of a miracle.

He explained how it's his biggest victory and what he's the most proud of, as long as having the family he has, and his wife (girlfriend when he was ill) who stayed with him all along when he was ill.
