Rojo was plenty bad with Sporting. When we were linked to him early on in the transfer window, everybody went ballistic like "OMG ZUBI Y U NO CARE ABOUT CLUB!"

Of course we've overpaid. And so have they. That's all I'm saying. Neither Rojo nor Mathieu are actually worth the 20M paid for them, but that's what they're clubs valued them at and the buyers (Man Utd and Barca) were desperate.

Sounds about right. All signs are indicating that he is joining Bayern. Last time I checked, Bayern offered 30m and was turned down, but was told that Roma's asking price wasn't that far off.

Too bad our board and Lucho didn't see what other clubs saw in Benatia. I am still quite content with our defense improvement during this transfer window, just disheartened to see one of our biggest CL rivals in Europe had their squad strengthened.
