Makes no sense tbh, from PSG's view

Motta already wanted to leave PSG during the winter mercato, but he didn't get any good offer.

Motta and PSG are not in good terms right now since PSG refused to renew his contract.

So contrary to what you think, it makes sense.

Motta current contract ends in june 2016. Either they sell him this summer, or he will leave for free in 2016.

Read a french report published 12 hours ago that PSV gave PSG permission to initiate discussions of terms with Depay(this had already widely circulated via Eindhovens Dagblad) -- http://www.ed.nl/sport/voetbal/psv/...ster-liverpool-en-parijs-poll-video-1.4878231 -- and that the Parisians are offering €35 million to United's €25 million. In a separate report done by the guardian, also published 12 hours ago, there's a quote from Van Gaal regarding Depay from an interview earlier in the day. It says:

Van Gaal refused to discuss if he has had any contact with PSV Eindhoven’s Memphis Depay. “I don’t discuss it with the media, you know my answer,” he said of the winger who played under him as Holland coach at last summer’s World Cup. “I have a lot of relationships with players. I cannot buy all the players I’ve coached already.”

They may not be favorites, and they may lose out in the end, but I believe Paris is very much in the running.

Sorry but all that are either old news from a few days, or not important at all.

Van Gaal, just like Ancelotti, doesn't like to discuss it during negociations anyways.

Don't hope for much or you will end up severely disappointed this summer.

.... That news was from yesterday.

Edit: Haven't noticed you posting anything on the matter, so how could the news be old? Figured you'd report on Depay's final three selections being United, Paris, and Liverpool with the latter two being the only one's to have placed bids. Nothing's certain, but lets not pretend I'm chasing a ghost.

@Bertus: what can you tell us about Samuel Umtiti? Is he an option for Barcelona in the future?

Many Lyon's players are extremely talented. All credits are due to Rémy Garde who's the one who found all this youngsters when he was Lyon's coach.

I already posted about Umtiti here. I rated him high but not among top players.

But he's improved beyond my expectations, meaning he didn't reach his final potential. He's almost if not already a top player now.

He's still improving, so yeah, I'm sure he will join some big teams or at least the EPL in the future.

Devil May Cry
"Real Madrid are desperate to make Eden Hazard their new Galactico this summer and are prepared to offer Gareth Bale in exchange for the Belgian. The Spanish giants have already made contact with the Blues over a potential deal this summer." This would be orgasmic but it's 99 % bullshit.
