I forgot this thread exists.

Anyway Mirko what can you tell me about Bacinovic, he didn't look bad today against Inter but I wasn't impressed from him like I was impressed from Ilicic.

When is Miccoli supposed to be back from his recovery from the operation?

Just found out that Miccoli is due to return in 17.09.10 according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, that's a long time without the main man of the attack for Palermo :(

Bačinović didn't impress me at all to be perfectly honest; I have never really liked his style of playing; he is clumsy, impetuous and his ball control is mediocre at best so I cannot really see the rationale of signing him. There are, however, two sides to every coin. He is only 20 and has plenty of time to patch these holes present in his understanding of the game.

Bad news about Miccoli, but I'm sure Iličić will step up and make his absence as imperceptible as possible. :p

Good news, first win of the season and that in Torino against Juve also Miccoli was in the bench so I guess transfermarkt was wrong about his injury so he will be available to play very soon. :D

Also I'm liking the duo of Pastore & Ilicic so far, lookin' deadly.

For what it's worth, the Italian press thought Miccoli might play some minutes today. he's apparently quite close to returning.

And yeah, Ilicic is a very pleasant surprise so far, turning into a great buy for Palremo.

Palermo is playing arguably the most beautiful football in Serie A right now. The duo Ilicic Pastore has an incredible chemistry; reminiscent of Xavi and Iniesta in terms of their passing skills, and reading each others game. Pinilla has been solid as well, but hopefully when Miccoli is back, they can become a legitimate pretenders to one of the top four spots. With the acquisition of Bacinovic, it seems they have finally been able to acquire an adequate substitute for Liverani. If they can keep the core together, which I doubt they will, the future looks bright for them.

Sirigu(23), Bačinovič(20), Pastore(21), Iličič(22), Hernandez(20)...
if they keep this players and if they make better defence, palermo could be one of best clubs in some years

I doubt he will sack him that fast. He is crazy alright but knows another coach might even be worse and at least Delio Rossi is making the team play well even if they're not dominant. Also there are a lot of youngsters and they are given responsibility to lead the team. It's not easy for the team to do more than they are doing now. If they don't improve though at some point he will be gone, but not now.
