That is what I don't get , he could've let bale take the goal and then give the red card , but he gets the penalty and goes to celebrate as if he scored a screamer.

I feel sorry for ludo, no good feeling for me with this. I like underdogs and it is a shame that the decision, albeit right by the book, has ruined the match for them. I never liked the straigth red inside the box, as a penalty is a clear chance as you get anyway.

For a handball to certainly prevent the ball, i agree with a red(not in this case, mind you). But i will never agree with a straight red to prevent a clear chance, if its happens inside the box, as a penalty is a clear chance as you get. A yellow is enough.
