Very lucky for Liverpool, but quite happy for them. Those final minutes though... First Mignolet makes an awful mistake by rushing out and then Borjan makes a dreadful first touch leading to a penalty. But overall Liverpool don't look so fluid offensively without SAS and their defensive transition was pretty bad. At least they're still able to get penalties, that's good.

What an embarrassing display today. I only watched the full 90 of Dortmund/Liverpool games, but gosh was that some pitiful stuff. Looked like the other games were poor as well.

Who would have that the reigning champions of the CL would win their first match at home against a dismantled Basel, and it would be the headline of the day .

I'm so much more excited for tomorrow.

Benatia was solid, Alonso very good. Thus far the latter has been an excellent addition.
