Watching the highlights, marcelo goal was class. I don't see any problem with ronaldo celebration, i actually find it funny. One more thing i observed is schalke are bad, getafe/granada level bad.

Danilo is not that special but he is not bad either, one match is not enough to judge a player maybe i will catch some porto matches to see how oliver and danilo are doing. From what i have seen oliver is talented player, his passing is very good and delivered some great long balls. Hope he continues to develop into a quality player good enough for a top European team. I think porto will go through, they have the quality.

Jupp's Bayern was great because they were build to smack teams like Barcelona and also primarily counter-attacking teams like Real Madrid at that time. I think Atletico would have swept Jupp's Bayern aside, but we'll never know ofc, I just think that the way Atletico and Bayern are and were set-up, the former would have taken the game away from them and beat them.

This Bayern is depressing atm and while I think it's good for them to actually lose a few games so they don't get complacent, Pep is going crazy with his new tactical changes every game.

I guess it depends. Before the hickup loss to Arsenal in the second leg, I'd go along with Atletico. But after that? No way in hell.

Anyways, atm, Pep is stupid for continuing stuff like playing Müller instead of Lewa (even if the latter still has problems adapting to Pep's style instead of being just a target man) and Schwein and Alonso together in midfield. We KNOW those things didn't go great in the past&in recent games. Why he insist on bringing in such a line-up in the CL, I don't know.
The not-given red against Luis Adriano and the red against Alonso in turn was very unlucky however. The ref was not exactly great.
Still, it seemed like they focused so much on stopping counter attacks, that they forgot all their creativity on the other side of the pitch. Donezk basically just parked the bus and tried the occasional counter. One shot at goal in 90 minutes. Wow.

Repetetive pairings, boring games and somehow predictable results.I wish,we could see these games this year.

City-Atletico
Juve-Barca
Arsenal-Real
PSG-Bayern
Dortmund-Chelsea(of course illegal pairing:D)

These are at least new for me,except Arsenal vs Real.

Semi:

Bayern vs Barca(Can Pep's Bayern out-position Barca?)
Chelsea vs Real(A mega match that never happened in Abram era)
(u want 2012 semifinal again?:D)

or

Atletico vs Bayern(I want to see how Bayern deals with Atletico!)
Barca vs Real(EL is always epic)

Also,PSG vs Real and Dortmund vs Barca should be entertaining too,IMO.

Wanna know your favorable mega matches:)
ANY IDEA?

I want to see Dortmund vs. Atletico, Real vs Chelsea (like you said).

Dortmund vs. Real Madrid, Barca vs Bayern semifinals. With an El Clasico final would be awesome too.

I hope we knock out City and draw an easier QF opponent. Porto / Juve / Dortmund / Arsenal / Monaco / Basel would be great.

Still watching that game from last night and it's facepalm material.

WTF is pep doing is beyond me. I don't understand what he's trying to do.

Pep is a great coach, but I don't think what he's trying to do is working. It's unimpressive to say the least.

+1

Barca-BVB would be abs. delightful if only to see the two catalan papers go total manic and link us with every BVB player, and their kitman over the complete course of the tie. :bartomeu: Alternatively, BVB-Atlético, should be an enterprising affair. Two spirited and headstrong managers at the touchline with their teams cancelling each other out.

However, neither will come to pass, I'm afraid. :(
