I would have rather liked Gladbach in EL, than Wolfsburg in CL.

But now, Wolfsburg first, United out completely, yeah I take that too.

Fair play to City topping their group without Aguero, Silva, Toure, Kompany and Zabaleta for spells.

Were quite unlucky in the two Juve games. By far best team in that group.

Because they topped the group..........

Even in the games against Juve they were very unlucky to lose those games despite missing their best players.

Just because they topped their group doesn't make them "bay far the best team" when they've lost two game against one of their peers.

How can two losses be attributed to bad luck? You're speaking as if they dominated Juve when we know that wasn't the case.

luft with the eternal pessimism. man, what is the point of winning the CL when we don't face good teams. last season's european title was even more special because we beat city, PSG, bayern, juve along the way, and very convincingly too at that.

They were just as good as Juve across the two game and missed a lot of chances.

Best team in the group.

You act like head to head decides the best team anyway when it doesnt.

Seems like you cant handle the fact City topped Juve without their best players really.

They were quite fortunate vs Sevilla in the first game

That was their poorest game to be fair and Sevilla were unlucky to lose that one.

They could have gone over to Sevilla and scored 5/6 as well and were better than them easily over the two legs as a whole. Again without their bets players which is an achievement.

Therefore, they weren't "by far" the best club of the group.

Head to head matches don't give an indication of the relative class, quality, and form of the clubs involved?

Seems that since the EPL is so garage you have to convince yourself that the club with the best chance to save you all from embarrassment is better than it actually is. I.e. City were lucky in their initial matches with Sevilla and Gladbach, but you've conveniently forgotten that.

Ok mate. Barca were not better than Malaga last season as Malaga won the head to head battle.

You didnt dispute them being clearly the the best you disputed 'how can they be the best when beaten twice'?

Fairly easy to answer that....they were the best team as won the group and my comment on them being easily the best team was based on them winning it even with injuries to their best players.
