Pardon my ignorance as I'm not a PSG fan, but did Ancelotti really build the team? IIRC then PSG didn't really do that great under him and from what I recall, it was Leonardo that built this PSG team with some really, really shrewd business.

i'm no psg fan but their luck has been horrible for years in the CL. Some of the hardest draws in the GS and KO, every year.

I think PSG fans been a bit unfair with him. He's doing a decent job. He can obviously be better many times, but they're competing well and getting better every season.

Ancelotti bottled the league title to Montpellier and took an entire year to get PSG to play better than under Kombouaré.

Blanc is no tactical genius but he can coach the shit out of some players and build a comprehensive possession based team way more ambitious than what Ancelotti did. Basically the only thing that Blanc can actually take the blame for is his management of Pastore. Lucas and Lavezzi are useless. Lucas less so but still can't finish.

PSG have always had a top dog in their CL group and in the quarterfinals whether under Ancelotti or Blanc.

And yes DonAK it is Leonardo who built the team.

Also, Bordeaux looks pretty great on Blanc's resumé. That team won the title in a fashion only topped by Blanc's PSG since and went on to win like 50 points in the first half of the next league. He was then announced months in advance as Raymond fucking Domenech's successor as head of the NT by the retarded FFF. As soon as that happened Bordeaux became a completely anonymous side and have remained so to this day.
