5 Italian teams are present and 2 of them (Torino and Inter) lost earlier. Viola and Roma are playing against each other currently. Napoli were trailing against Dynamo Moscow 0-1 until Higuaín scored 2 goals. What looked like a very good opportunity for Italian football to score more points and advance on the UEFA coefficient list now looks like another potential failure and wasted opportunity.

A shame. Inter are so bad that it hurts. To think that they won the treble 5 years ago is frightening.

It is sad, even with a good coach and a few better buys there is just so much dead weight that it doesn't matter right now. And a poor decision to play Carrizo in the later stages of the tournament, fine in the group stages or Coppa but when Italian teams need to be giving their all in this tournament playing the best squad is a necessity.

At least Inter aren't the worst team in Milano.

The problem with Milan is that their issues go way past just performance on the pitch. If Berlusconi sells the club things could turn around faster but if he remains owner then it could take years for them. I still don't know if I'll ever really like Thohir in charge of Inter, but he's better than Berlusconi.
