I saw a lot of Bayern fans happy about Dortmund's demise this season, but maybe they should be sad because Dortmund was a worthy challenger who kept them on their toes. Now they're walking away with the league with the #2 getting decimated by a side struggling in Serie A lulz.

They didnt have a shortage in money, as much as Chelsea or United? No, but they spent more than both United and Arsenal during Rafas time. The thing is, Rafa was very hit and miss on the transfer, if not downright awful.

Transfer spending is only a part of a club's budget, and a far smaller (and significant one) in relation to the wage bill. Liverpool could never match the wage bills of Chelsea, United or even Arsenal. So, financially you can't accuse Benitez for too much. Napoli are also poorer than Juventus, AC Milan, Inter and even AS Roma.

Liverpool spent much more than Arsenal on players in Benitez time, wages and transfer fees included.

Though many teams will find it hard to win if they are matched-up with a team as clinical as today's Napoli.

Arsenal have been outgrossing Liverpool for more than a decade now. It is impossible for them to outspend Arsenal. Maybe the stadium had something to do with what you are claiming there. Do you have any references that show Liverpool outspending Arsenal?

In any case, Arsenal did not outperform Liverpool while Rafa was there, quite the contrary. Vis a vis Chelsea and United though, Liverpool were always significantly poorer.

Arsenal were paying off a new stadium and up until recently were something like 17th in Prem for spending since stadium started being built.

Arsenal were always spending less than Man Utd when were beating them for leagues anyway so if Benitez was out spending Man Utd in the transfer market but on less wages he should have been able to compete better.
