Liverpool choked in the 2nd half (big time!), but to be completely fair were denied 3 (!) penalties in the first half.
At most there was one contentious situation, and none of the handball situations was a clear penalty. The arms were always in natural positions. In the first instance the Liverpool player hit the arm, which was held close to the body, from half a metre, and on the replays you could see the Sevilla player trying to move the arm away. No penalty.
For the second "hand ball", the play was already over. The ball was running out of play and the Liverpool player had no chance of reaching it. That's when the Sevilla player unconsciously lightly touched the ball, and it was once again in a natural position. Not a penalty in a million years.
The third situation is imo the most contentious one, but the arm was still in a natural position and the Sevilla player didn't try to touch the ball with his hands. Finally the Liverpool player was once again very close and this time he straight up passed the ball right on the Sevilla player's hand. It's a possible penalty but imo it would've been a harsh one.
