I say I'd have Van Persie here over DB10 because I don't think Dennis could carry this team and bang in the goals like Robin has. (If Dennis was the same age as Robin of course.)

I could see the argument that RVP is the better goalscorer but Bergkamp at his peak was the best player on a far better team.

Oh...Well I guess I agree with that. This current team needs a goalscorer like RvP to get results. The thought of Bergkamp creating all these amazing chances only for Walcott and Gervinho to scuff every single one But obviously Bergkamp was the better player in general.

No doubt about that, Bergkamp was the better player, but RVP is the better scorer (he has already gone past DB10's goals for Arsenal in the top scorers list.)

He is world-class indeed.

But:

a) Where would he fit?

b) How much would he cost?

c) He is not extremely young.

d) What if those injuries return?

It'd be a pointless signing, there would be nowhere to play him. He's not going to replace Messi in the middle and he's not a wide player. At least not to his current standard as a #9.
