100% bang on. You even had Barca fans claiming he was better than Neymar. I will say what I said then, he couldn’t reach Neymars levels in 1000 lifetimes.

I don’t care how many champions leagues he wins which is the de facto argument when mentioning anything about Madrid, on an individual level he’s great on a good day but too often nothing special.

The dip is more due to poor squad planning by Perez than anything else.

He's a world-class player, but he's not a truly 'generational' (ugh, awful term) player like Neymar was.

He's maybe faster than Neymar. Neymar is better at everything else. Frankly it shouldn't be a discussion and is disrespectful to Neymar's genius. No real slight on Vini, just Neymar was an outlandish talent.

The one part that didnt age well is where I said only his decisionmaking is better than Lamines. But I think Lamine now is at least on par with him now, likely better.

But there was a period where Vini always made the right pass near the box to a player that was in better scoring position. Also because his shooting from wide positions was really poor. It’s still not great
