Ofcourse it holds some value. Doesn't mean you HAVE TO agree with all the opinions of a particular person. Not gonna form opinions based on VVD's takes lol.


Calling Messi the GOAT is hardly a hot take. It is the popular opinion.


Have never disagreed with any poster calling Messi the GOAT.


PS: Gravenberch has been the best mid itw this season. Although Pedri has done a lot more than him in his career so far, this season Ryan has been the best mid. He was a dud under Klopp but this season, he's on fire.

Swap them around though.

Barcelona are worse while Liverpool are better.

Funny how that works out.

Everyone wants to play for Barcelona even the Madrid players if they are being honest.

Not everyone will get that privilege

Him partnering Cubarsi and mentoring him would be top notch.

He gets a lot of shade here because of Billy’s antics (no he’s not the best defender ever :lol: )but he’s the best defender of the post 2015 era.

He's a better defender than Pique or Ramos for anyone who actually watches games instead of counting team trophies.


He doesn't have a weakness.


Best CB I have seen alongside Nesta. Too young for Baresi.

Van Dijk peak as a player is better than Pique.. but Piques career dwarfs his and wont care less.

Not 100% convinced of him in this high a line..but then again Inigo copes.

No he isn't.

Better at some aspects? Yes.

But overall, Alves is better until Trent proves otherwise and does something truly special.

Has the talent though. I have always been reasonable with Liverpool players in these discussions.

Alves is better but folk also forget how much he too was dissected by a lot of Barca fans for his defending and how many crosses he would 'spam' into box.

None of it true but was argued by a lot.
