Probably the worst directed football event, in the events of football. I missed about half the match, looking slowmotions of people moving 10 cm. Somebody gets injured and then starts the most strange slowmo montage ever, I keep hearing all hell breaking loose on back round, and when the director suddenly wakes, Masch is having red card. Holy hell it was annoying.

It was a very poor game once again. U-21 European cup level is higher in my opinion. Maybe it's the long journeys, but especially Argentina looked nothing like a team. Di Maria, Aguero were shockingly selfish. Not a pretty thing to look at all.

Mascherano is such a man-child. He ought to be additionally punished by the Argentine FA. FFS, you are a professional football player, you represent your country and you get paid millions to do your job... LIKE A PROFESSIONAL. You don't just take the liberty of kicking a FIFA official (or whoever he was) when things aren't going the way you want them to. You'd think some of these idiots would grow up by their late 20s or early 30s, but no.

Yeah, quite the opposite of Iniesta and co. staying at home, playing sweet ball against Georgia and some other poor suckers. Try flying in other side of the world and play in mountains.

CONMEBOL WCQ-qualifying is like the hardest, the most even competition anywhere.

I don't think you can be that harsh. Playing at that altitude without Higuain, Zabaleta and Messi (for an hour, may aswell be 90 mins) is always going to be a problem. The commentator said thats the first time Ecuador have dropped points at home.

I didn't say that it is not hard to qualify or that there is not enough competition, I just said that the game was tactically and aesthetically not pleasing at all. Inexplicably teams like Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay etc. don't perform as good as their talent of their players suggest they should and I sense that the gap between South American and European teams is getting bigger. ( while European teams have less talented players)

Again I am speaking about the quality of football that has been played. Of course the result is very good for Argentina and Ecuador is a very good team, but the game was painful to watch.
