Solid win, Messi will never be able to play like he does with Barcelona simply because Argentina as a whole doesn't play like barca, hopefully this game proves that and finally opens the eyes of people who still expect him to play like he does in Barca..

This has nothing to do with people expecting Messi to play like Barca Messi. The team is simply not good enough to win a major title (Copa America or WC). The team has no midfield. It's only attack and defense. It's like playing FIFA, with the CB's passing straight to the attackers.

Di Maria is the only player in the team who compliments Messi well. The rest are good only on certain days. No consistency in form which is needed for any major competition.

Higuain is the leading scorer in all of europe this season so he's hardly past his prime. Just nobody plays well for Argentina like they do for their clubs

spot on, Di Maria is truly the only good associate Messi has, Aguero is almost always shit and Higuain? Pfttt, hopefully Dybala will be able to open up the game more for Messi in the upcoming WC.

Higuain is actually the player who compliments Messi the best IMO. They've always linked up well and he's far more mobile than Aguero too, but the problem is.....he always goes missing when they need him the most.

Di Maria is a skilled player, but is a low IQ player. Ditto with Aguero and Tevez. They have individual skill but are terrible at playing with others, looking for smart combination plays and far too often make bad decisions. Too much dumb individualistic street football and tunnel vision. Lavezzi and Palacio etc etc shouldn't even be on this team anymore.

I won't even talk about Biglia who is awful, Banega who has 1 good game followed by half a dozen stinkers, Gago who is made of butter, and any other awful player they truck out there not named Mascherano and Kranevitter who are also limited themselves in certain areas.

And then you got that moron Tata playing this stupid hoofball, bypassing your best player, playing with no creative mids, and refusing to play the young blood who can bring something different to this team.

Argentina's midfield has no Creativity whatsoever.

Tata has stuck with the Two DM's in the middle and having one regular CM or AM. It's always the same players being Paired up Biglia-Mascherano-Banega/Pastore when fit, he has not even remotely changed it unless he has to (Injuries or Suspensions).

Yeah it helps the back line but when it comes to creativity it doesn't work. Long balls from the Defense and hoping Messi gets the ball to do something is literally what Tata's tactics are. even then Messi gets snubbed by Di Maria and Aguero who either go for Personal glory or lose the fucking ball and we are back to step one again.

This Sumlit. I was so angered watching Tata start Bigilia and keep him on 90 mins. Lavezzi please guy already mentally checked out to China and he still subs in. Play with El Cholo's men in Atletico Augusto Fernandez and Correa instead of those have nots Lavezzi and Biglia. Plug those holes please Tata for the love of all that's holy. Really surprised Demechellis didn't start he's one of Tata's old boys too.
