Which signing(realistic) do you think could make the most impact on Barcelona to return them to Champions League glory?

I voted Thiago Silva, but not with the thought of him helping the team to return to CL glory, but to help balance the quality of our team and playing, in general. We need a top-quality defender. That's the first step in improving our overall performance. What I think is the essential part of getting back to the top of European football, however, is management. No player on his own (except Messi maybe) can be the secret ingredient to this. Our squad is absolutely incredible even with the few gaps that need to be fixed. There's enough quality there to reach any level. It just needs to be used appropriately. Having said that, I do think we need one very good CB, one striker/winger type of player if/when Villa leaves (Aguero would be my pick), and a goalkeeper when Valdes leaves. I'd choose De Gea. Ideally we'd have another left-footed winger/striker to play on the right, but I don't have any ideas. Bale fits that category, but I hate him.

If I had it my way, we'd buy Thiago Silva (and De Gea, if possible) this summer, Villa would stay, and next year we'd try to find a better option than Pedro for the right.

Detalles, detalles, siempre detalles
I'd like to buy a striker, so that Messi can play as a false winger again. Crossing shouldn't be our main plan, but having someone to play a high ball to wouldn't hurt, so that cramming the central parts of the pitch wouldn't be as devastating to us as it is now. No matter how much space our backs get, they won't cross, because their is no target in the box. Having at least one aerial option would make us harder to defend, I guess.
Also, permanent occupation of the opponent's center backs would help in big matches, I guess. We were able to overcome a 2-0 deficit against Milan because of this. I'd love to sign someone like Lewandowski, or Cavani. Someone willing to press, someone tall enough to be an aerial presence in the box, yet technically skilled enough to play in our tiqui-taca-system. Not many players will be able to tick all those boxes, so it won't come cheap.

Aside from that, we could use another quality winger, especially if Villa or Sánchez leaves, and a versatile defensive player. Vertonghen would be excellent, because he can play as a CB, LB, or as a DM even. I haven't seen Iñigo Martínez yet, but he might be an option too if he's as good as I've heard.

These should be our major points of focus imo.

It's going to take more than one signing.

First off, we need to sell the following: Villa (Tito has refused to play him in the right situations like last week), Alexis, Song, Bartra, Dos Santos, and Valdes.

Consider selling if an extremely good offer comes in for Cesc. If we sell Cesc, we have to start giving Thiago major minutes though.

Bring in: A competent GK like Handanovic or a young stud like Ter Stegen. Bring in an additional forward in addition to Neymar. It's imperative we bring in 2 quality CBs like Hummels and either Inigo Martinez or Marquinhos.

I love Tito but we need a new manager too. It would be beautiful if Pellegrini would come and say his only demand would be is to have Isco come with him.

Not for Spain, and we'll pretty much have Spain's starting defense except with a good RB. I feel like Ramos and Pique are both error-prone alone, but complement each other so well they wipe the errors from each other's game and become the best CB duo in the world.

I'd go for Reus, he can play anywhere along the front line, has height and power, can score goals and he's only 23. He also seems to have a good mentality and scored some key goals in his first ever Champions League campaign.

Mats Hummels and Segio Aguero both. HELL NO to Sergio Ramos. Keep that douche thug where he belongs.

Ramos is only a douche (imo) when he plays for Mou, he's nowhere near as bad for Spain and he's quite a classy guy.

He's not "classy" but he's not as much of a villain as some Barca fans make him out to be. He's definitely a pretty rough player but he's a strong defender willing to do the dirty work and has the capability to lead a defense. He's amazing in the air and has great physical aspects it's just his temper that's questionable.

Overall a great player that Barca could use but it'd be a waste of time pursuing him.

With Mourinho most likely leaving, its even more of a waste of time pursuing him. The only reason him and/or Iker would leave Real is because of Mou.

Two players are needed: striker and central defender. Right now Barca couldn't score to a top team without Messi and one more scorer is something more than necessity. Villa, Pedro and Alexis need to go. Tello should be given a chance.
And one top quality defender is also needed. Because the defense is a mess. Song or Mascherano should be sold. That's all.

Our defence has been so bad that it is actually embarrassing. FIRST priority is to buy 2 central defenders. And can somebody again explain why in Gods name did they ever sell Samuel Eto'o. And don't tell me cuz of Ibra :(

*Sorry, still a bit down cuz of yesterday *
