How can people play down Drogba's ability just cause he's old? We are talking about right now, and age doesn't mean a thing, and right now if all those players were in top form, I'd have to say Drogba cause he pretty much has it all, followed by Torres, Villa, Eto'o and Ibra.

John Antonio Bilboa

Eto'o is the purest striker on earth, i'm saying this because he has been the best at the highest level a lot longer than David Villa or Fernando Torres.

villa. moves great off the ball, and is very active in the last 1/3 of the pitch. great track record to boot.

Now if we say who is the most complete i would vote for Villa-Torres ..
best striker means a consistent goal scorer so putting Adebarndoor or Ibra is a big joke
Dezko had a one great season so did Aguero (affected by injuries last year ) so strike both out ..

the most consistent goal scorer in Europe and the one who have the highest conversion rate is Ruud van Nistelrooy and that applies to Europe and the league ..and no one comes close to him so far

However if we are talking about the best last season than Samu Eto'o wins it for me

Diego Forlan is a pretty consistent goalscorer and has a goalscoring ratio comparable to Van Nistelrooy. Has Ruud ever scored 32 in one league season in Spain ? No. Adebayor can be a consistent scorer in certain seasons ( 07/08 ) and now looks like repeating it. Ibra isn't consistent at scoring ? Top scorer in Italy last season. Before that scored 17 goals in 07/08 for Inter as joint 4th highest scorer in the league. And 15 year before isn't too shabby in Serie A a defensive league.

Did i say no to Forlan ?? i like the guy but Ruud was the Pichichi also my friend or did u forget that ? what was Forlan doing before the liga? that's if you want to say the below comment

I'll reply has Forlan scored 10 goals in one season in the EPL ? No

Ruud van Nistelrooy is and officially the best striker in Europe his goal scoring conversion is 2 to 1... that's a goal from every 2 chances he got .. and Forlan ratio is pretty far from Ruud
Ruud three stints with clubs.. PSV 75 goals in 91 games, Man U 150 goals in 219 games Real Madrid 63 goals in 93 games...

Forlan is as far away from Ruud in terms of converting chances as i'm from Antarctica viva for 10 years he is the most consistent striker par injuries

don't get me wrong though i like Forlan a lot he is an excellent striker i would have loved him @ Real but apart from this season impressive and the one when he first joined Villarreal he isn't the same as Ruud

Adebayor CAN BE doesn't make him the best goal scorer ..

Ibra hardly score in Europe or with his national team .. we are talking about the best goal scorer in the WORLD not in the liga or Serie A ..

why not put Totti in the list than if It's about as hard scoring in Serie A? Totti won the golden shoe in Europe scoring 30 + in Serie A

Totti I don't think is a striker he is an attacking mid playing off the striker.

For me the best 3 strikers in the world - at this moment in time - are Torres, Villa and Eto'o. I cannot really separate them.

Yusuf. Torres may not score more for Spain, but I guarantee you one thing ask Del Bosque who out of the two does he want fit and firing for Spain at the world cup and he will say Torres every single time.

Reason being, well a lot of things. He is tall, athletic, can head the ball can run into spaces and is Spain's main man alongside Villa upfront. But Spain would have to change their whole dynamic if Torres were injured for that tournament.

Torres is also younger, at the same level of Villa and can only get better. Whilst Villa for me needed to leave Valencia to reingivorate himself. It is easy to lose your edge at a club with the troubles that Valencia has.
