casillas will be the keeper for spain, del bosque will stick with him regardless. however assuming he wasn't going to be the keeper at the world cup then it should go to de gea, he was the best goalkeeper in the premier league last season and had a much better season then victor valdes. considering how barca fans moan about valdes not being good enough so often i am very surprised by all the votes for him, it is as if they think he deserves to start for spain just because of the club that he plays for, you should have to earn the shirt not have it gifted to you. if de gea maintains his current form he should be next in line after casillas in my opinion, no question about it...

Its clear you dont follow the matches of Barca. Valdes has been in sensational form this season. Im one of his biggest critics and wanted him to be sacked during his "supercup howler days". But this season he has turned it up, not to mention he has already played quite a few matches with the national team and performed great especially the last WCQ match with France where he saved Spain's ass. Hence he deserves to start for Spain not just because he is Barca's keeper. Similarly DDG doesnt deserve to start just because he plays for Man U

Only those bandwagoners and anti barca fans claim that Valdes isn't important. Valdes makes mistakes in the past, but he has been a crucial member in Barca always. We can't even find a proper replacement for him!
If Del Bosque chose Valdes, Reina and Diego Lopez, it's because of their experience and the respect given towards them from the rest of the spanish national team.
De Gea... maybe in the future. Soon, but not now.
