The majority jumps on the hype train and forget that we have a young, for the most part still inexperienced squad. In top form, we can beat anyone. But the young players don't have the experience of physical dosage over the entire season, which is one of the main pillars for success in the end of the season. Madrid also won so many trophies in the last years because they managed to perform when it counted.
You can't train this, it comes with experience. Obviously I hope the next drop in form, that will undoubtedly come, won't be the same as in November/December and will allow us to survive in every competition. That's also one of Flick's jobs, who has it easier now to rotate and not like during the start of the season.
Time will tell if Flick and the squad manage this problem. If yes, we will win trophies this season.

Good post.
Another thing is that we have an extremely thin squad in many, many positions. Most players can’t be rested without a huge drop in form. Some cannot be rested at all.
Doubt it, wont say no straight because football is football but our squad depth is simply not good enough to reliable compete over the next months.
- Lamine is basically irreplaceable.
- No reliable subs for Raphinha.
- Olmo can't be trusted to stay fit for more than 4 games in a row.
- De Jong can't be trusted in any meningful game and Hansi doesn't count with Torre.
- We still don't have a world class keeper.
Not to mention we dont have a reliable sub for Kounde as Hansi doesn't trust Fort and while Martin has improved in the last few games I don't think he's good enough.
If our top XI + Olmo remains fit then we're for sure the best team in the league.

Apart from the consistency and potential injury concerns, don't forget that just like with the CdR match last night, the league will do everything to not let Madrid bottle the league.
We will keep on getting calls against us, and Madrid will keep getting calls in their favour, which will inevitably affect fine game margins.

Part of LL by now. They get more favorable calls than us. Same happens for us when we're trailing. At this point they'll do anything to keep the competition alive. Can't let teams run away with the league as its a two horse race anyway.
But going into conspiracy territory won't help us in any way. The best team usually wins the league. Not a matter of refs deciding anything in the end.

That's the standard reply from people that hate the club. 3 months ago I asked you to show me decisions that Barca have got that are as scandalous as the ones Real get. You didn't reply. I'll give you another chance. Show me a decision even remotely as scandalous as the one last night that Barca got to help them " when they were trailing ".
Madrid have had as much " bad calls " go in their favour in the last 2 games alone as most get in a whole season. Most of their titles have been decided by refs deciding in the end.
Since you say Barca are also helped, I'm sure you will show me an onside goal that was turned in to an offside goal by manipulating VAR images for 8 minutes, like Lewas vs Sociedad. Show me something like that anywhere else in Europe since the introduction of VAR.
Or let's just go back to the LAST GAME, where 2 onside goals were disallowed, one where they went back 3 phases of play and the other that wasn't even offside by the lines that they drew.
I'll wait for that too.

Depends more on Atletico than us in my opinion. If they can go on like this for much longer then it's going to suck for us. Normally I would consider that close to impossible but it's Simeone. He knows how to take advantage of stuff and how to grind wins out. His whole career is based off that.
As for us I don't have much doubt we will be better in second half of the season. We are the best team in the league football wise and we proved that against Atletico when we met them (not to speak of Madrid lol). We didn't win but that was a complete domination from start to finish by our team.
I personally think that, despite all this, we will still win it at the end. What I'm sure of is that absolutely nothing is done yet contrary to what others often say. It might be a very dramatic end to the season and we'll see how it unfolds, that's when it will be done.

Getafe are a dirty side that are difficult to break down, particularly under Bordalas. I rewatched highlights from matchday 7 when we won 1-0 at Montjuic - several scoring chances simply weren’t converted but there was ease to create those chances. Pablo Gonzalez will again be the ref, known for permitting shithousery (only 2 bookings in 1st match)
Expect controversy with officiating, certain of it but I am confident we will leave with 3 pts

It's the fact that we dropped points when we weren't supposed to. We arent RM where we can get away with it. In all my years watching Barca since Kluivert years, we had to "deserve" the league to put it lightly. No fukups and winning when we should winPeople are honestly doubting their league chances midway through season and only being 6 pts from 1st with 57 pts still to play for?
We aren't a very "lucky" club like RM
