There are many differences between Silva and Messi. Silva has played and still plays a lot of times in midfield, Messi is a forward, who rests a lot of time when he is not on the ball.

Of course they are different and Messi playts forward more but Silva does not make Spain a better technical team than Messi would in same side.

They for most part play in similar areas of pitch when in possession.
