According to my stepfather who is from Slovenia near Koper the people there mostly did not root for Croatia.
But I don't take them too seriously in that regard, when it comes to banter they talk worse about their own countrymen from Ljubljana and people from Maribor/Štajerska are just the worst

For our mentality and motivation, it is always better to play against Germany, Italy or France than against Belgium or Uruguay, who are strong, but not clear favorites.
Imo, Croatia will score 2 goals in a final.

Mbappe look great only when he has alot of space infront, vs compact defence, he cant do what he does best, it will be interesting how dalic will set up team, and how france will play, will they play football or defend with 10 players in their half and play on counters, we can do it, and im sure we will not act like thats already enough that we are in finals, we will give it all, there will not be such chance in close history.
When we have modric in form, rakitic, wrestler rebic and beast like mandzo in attack, we can beat anybody in football and literally kick their asses

English team in semis also had a team without experience in big matches and without experience HOW to actually win a big match, like a CL final.
Croatia:France in that aspect:
Modric, played 4 CL finals, won ALL 4 Cl finals
Rakitic, played 1 CL final, won 1 CL final, scored a goal in a final
Mandzukic, played 2 finals (Bayern, Juve), won 1 CL (Bayern), scored goals in BOTH Cl finals
Lovren, lost 1 CL final
Kovacic, was on a bench in 2 CL finals
French players:
Griezmann, lost 1 Cl final
Mbappe, 0 Cl finals
Giroud, 0 Cl finals
Pogba, lost 1 Cl final
Varane played and won in 2 Cl finals.
So, midfield and attack from France have ZERO Cl titles or Wc/Euros won.
On the other hand: Modric&Rakitic&Mandzukic trio played 7 CL finals and won in 6 CL finals. They also scored 3 goals in finals (Mandzukic 2, Rakitic 1).
Let's see whether these tiny details regarding experience/clutch in key matches will repeat in a final also...
