Someone know something about this Australian squad?

Every time i watched them they were like the poorest team in the universe, just hustling the ball around

Guys here are overrating Saudi Arabia.

Argentina played 1:1 vs Iceland, 0:3 vs Croatia and 2:1 vs Nigeria in a group stage 2018.

It is painful to say but they are horrible chockers once they don't play Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador.

Argentina didn't have a good WC since 1990.
They are choking and getting smashed by France and Germany in KOs all the time.
Further, Messi is 35.
4 years ago in 2018, he was already just a passenger.

About Saudi, they aren't good.
It is just that Argentina has 3 grannies in attack and bad midfield.

I watched Saudi vs Croatia in a friendly 7 days ago in a match at +35*C, and Saudis were meh both technically, tactically and physically.

Reading some posts here, it sounds as if Argentina today lost to Brazil from 2002'.

Luckily for Argentina, their next opponents are also quite bad.

About Mexico, they were bad at passing but they always run like crazy (way more than Saudis) and majority of their players are like Speedy Gonzalezs.

If Argentina had problems with Saudis, then Mexico runs way more.
Add to this that all the pressure is on Argies and we know how they play/choke under pressure.

Imagine if Mexico scores for 1:0 after 20 minutes.
The end of a WC for Argentina

That's the thing, Argentina didn't have problems against Saudi for 98% of the game. They scored a half chance... which luckily went through Romero's legs. Then they scored a great strike at the edge of the box when he had 2 on him, which also took a deflection. On another day, that first shot gets blocked by Romero's legs..... and that 2nd one either gets blocked or deflects wide.

This wasn't a choke job, it was just a freak result. You honestly can't read too much into this... because if Argentina played Saudi tomorrow, they'd probably smash them by 4 or 5. Like.... Saudi could get smashed by both Mexico and Poland, and Argentina could then smash both Mexico and Poland. It happens in domestic football all the time. The teams in the relegation zone sometimes beat the best teams in the league. It just happens less in international stage because they play way fewer games.
