Are France and Brazil not on different sides? Sure they were if both won group.

Shur 2 teams topping a group have to meet at least by the quarters if they both win r16 games. I mean there are plenty of group winners on the same side of the draw

No that is not what mean.. you can tell before last 16 which winners cant meet until the final and Brazil/France are two of those.

Mmmm I think u got that wrong, Spain are now on the France side!?

Exactly. BUT It's still the easier side of the draw. Easier opponent in 1/8 (Morocco instead of Croatia) and 1/4 (Portugal instead of Brazil). Once they get to the semis it doesn't really matter, will probably be no bad teams left. Either France or Argentina...and to even get to Argentina, they would've had to beat Brazil first, if they were on the other side. This way at least they get Portugal in the quarters, and they can even hope England knocks out France, and then suddenly they'd have a cakewalk to the final. Happy that Portugal don't get to walk to the semis now, hopefully Spain beats them in the quarters. So even if Argentina lose in the semis, Messi still gets farther than Cristiano.

Thats not right as Argentina and Brazil are not going to be on same side with France.
