Even if France wins this again, Mbappe wouldn't be in the conversation of the all time greats. He is absolutely the best forward of this generation by far and would make it an amazing achievement, but France are outrageously stacked. I mean, griezmann was their best player in 2018 and currently is again on par with Mbapee on performances, so by that logic he should be in the goats conversation too. It really doesn't work like that for me.
France look by far the more skillful and talented team overall this WC.
Let's see if the English boiz can stop them.

After Euros 2021, where Croatia lost 3:5 to Spain in a round of 16, local fans and media jumped on Rebic (because he was indeed shit) and then he made several Instagram posts saying how our NT coach is bad, how he has ruined this generation, how journos and tv hosts on a national tv don't know shit about football etc and he even deleted from his profile on social pages that he plays for NT team, as in: I don't want to play for NT team anymore, this set of people don't deserve me.

The same happened with a CF Nikola Kalinic a few years ago when he was whining for not playing and how he is better than other options.

** Btw, probably not too popular opinion on our forum, but Modric now has 5 CL wins, 1 WC final and is currently in another Wc semis.
Seriously, Modric has some magic around him.
When you have him in your team, your team just refuses to DIE in KO matches, both Real Madrid and Croatia.

We have often wrote about CR7's mental strength but maybe the key factor in RM's success and comebacks over the years was Modric (or at least 50% of it)?

Of course it was Modric. The man has a star around him and never gives up. If we had him at Barca, many cls would have come our way. Certainly not so many humiliations. Instead we insisted on mediocre tiki-taka wanna be, no mentality players and the relic busquets.

Interesting stuff about NT drama.

Regarding Modric..he is for sure in the Xavi, Zidane, Iniesta bracket of MF legends. His longevity is legendary and not matched even by CR7. The fact the he wanted to play in Barca (so i've heard) is a testament to quality of our scouting and management.
CR7 mental strength is BS, because people with such strong narcissistic tendencies are the exact opposite of "mental strenght". Basic logic.
