Xavi Hernández

Other than 9 seasons of his career you mean?

France aside, not winning league in Spain for two seasons against Atleti, not winning with Chelsea in two seasons as well when the competition there was not great, and losing one league title to mighty Xavi
are all telling

You have to see the whole picture, and the whole picture says Ancelotti does not like leagues that much.
Can't be compared to serial winners like Pep or SAF

Yes, he did with PSG
But we can't judge if it's systematic as we haven't seen him with top teams able to cling the title for years in other leagues,

Systematic? Well, its systematic for PSG to cruise to league titles, except that time Poch was there.

Systematic flaw in one's career
And to judge that you look at the whole career with teams that could cling the title, like Ancelotti had in Italy with Milan winning only 1 in 9 seasons, like he had RM in Spain, Chelsea in EPL, PSG in France

That argument can't be made yet about Poch, because other than PSG, he didn't have such teams.
Unless you think Spurs (which he made rise 3 or 4 levels during his stint) was one such team

Actually it sort of was, in 15/16, we all love the Leicester-story, but they finished barely above 80.

It doesn't get mentioned often enough, how Spurs and Arsenal both bottled a golden opportunity at winning a title.

Ancelotti is not a great league manager, that i can agree, but somehow, his record domestically has gotten better in recent years, don't know what to make of that.

Sport and Mundo Deportivo the the two biggest traditional sports papers in Catalunya.
And they've both backed Xavi more than even Pep and Lucho got backed, because they see him as one of their own.

This is why anyone claiming he is being criticized heavily by the press are deluded. Sure he is criticized by some journalists and radio stations in Barcelona, by national papers in Spain and others, but the two heavyweights in sports press closest to the club have backed him regardless of how we've played and the results we've had.

Xavi cannot complain about the press hounding him. He hasn't experienced that, yet.
Probably leaked stuff to the press from his playing days. Now his buddies are returning the favour.

Should have just let him go when he said he was leaving even if he was bullshitting.

We've seen enough that things won't get better. We can keep giving him money we don't have and we will still have the same results. We got schooled by teams that don't have our budgets and coaches have outsmarted him far to many times.

We are basically letting Carlo and Real have free reign at the title because we have a coach who is about as smart as a toddler when it comes to coaching.

Doesn't matter if we had brought a DM in instead of Roque, we'll still be in the same situation right now. Assuming the rumors are true that Xavi is filling his diaper and taking his frustrations out on a kid that just got here from Brazil.

The Laporta and Xavi relationship is the reason why this club is doomed.

All of this nonsense, humiliations and failures and Laporta still cries and begs for his Catalan buddy Xavi.

Spend 40m on Vitor Roque, throw him to the bushes and proceeds to renew Sergi Roberto.

Laporta is quickly making himself look like more of a clown than Barto.

Serghei spends all his energy to downplay Barca own players

I mean, the squad is flawed but cmon.
He's always gaslighting and questioning the quality of our players.
Why isn't Serghei asking how clubs with a fraction of our wealth are getting results against us.
Maybe their manager actually knows tactics, man management and not to get sent off everytime the pressure is on.
I would like to see some players sold AND Xavi out but that's a pipedream.

Trophyless season, 14 points behind Real Madrid and Laporta still thinks he's the man to lead Barça. The double standards are crazy with this club.
