They weren't pressing us. They were just set up far better tactically.

Chalking this off to 'intensity' or 'slow players' is gonna hold us back from fixing the real issues. We will have a tough next few months if we think like this. Xavi got outcoached and Frankfurt set up well for us.

They were pressing us just not very high. Applied a lot of pressure in midfield.

Outclassed or not outclassed just a bit tired of players dropping the ball when matters. Enough teams that get through even when playing horribly but they'll have 2-3 players that stand up.
Alba is traumatized. Garcia brainfart. Mingueza segunda level player. Adama chance to prove himself but checked out. Even Araujo when he was one of betters could've converted one of those crosses.

Playing devil's advocate a bit.

If you think now after so many years of humiliations in European competition that the main problem is not mentally soft, slow and old players... don't know what to tell you.

This is the same team from the 8-2, minus some genius players and with some rejects on low money to cut costs.

It was a super disappointing night but given the situation a few months ago I expected the season to have been dusted by Feb.

Hopefully the club and Xavi uses this as huge motivation to not be complacent and realise that despite doing very well to recover the situation there is still a long way to go.

Barca is lacking leaders when the going gets tough, the team is incapable of weathering storms.

Araujo passing was terrible and contributes to the poor build up.

Showed some good pace to recover at times but was not anything to highlight either.

Barca have better players than Frankfurt and played in way that allowed Frankfurt to expose the weaknesses of slow/old players.

That is on Xavi to a huge extent.

He changed nothing from first leg.. in my opinion due to a lot of arrogance that 'we are Barca and they wont play like that again on a decent pitch' attitude and feeds down to players also.

Barca have suffered from being far too unaccountable for the same mistakes year after year and happened again tonight. Arrogance/outdated players thinking still best going.

If Frenkie being omitted was tactical, that is one hell of a huge fuck up
Subbing Auba for Traore when you need a goal is also a terrible move. Auba has been shit, sure, but Traore, Dembele and Ferran aren't scoring for shit

Pretty much this.

Disappointing week, but did well to come back after the top 4 was shaping up to be a losing battle. It's clear we need changes.

They did not press us high but when we passed the half line they hounded us like wolves and our midfield couldn't cope with the speed and intesity of their players. Of course it has to do with intesity. Just because Xavi set us to fail doesn't mean that we don't lack these attributes big time .

Only 2 players from the 8-2 were in the XI today, Alba and Busi.

You can bet your left leg teams are going to see what Frankfurt have done, what Levante have done, and even what Elche did some games ago. Issues have been piling up in the background and teams are reacting to our setup.

If we want to make the team run a few more laps to compensate for that we won't even make top4. Today is on Xavi.

we need better midfielders, but pedri and gavi need experience, you can't expect them to ball out in europe at the age they're at right now
