[GOAL] Xavi: "I was expecting 70,000 or 80,000 cules here but it wasn't like that... The club is checking what happened."

Good on him to call them out.

Xavi is fine, we are back to our original point, the team is simply not good. Need to infuse with some good team players and one/two world class superstars. Sigh..Mbappe, now that was the one that truly got away. And for FREE at that.

If Frenkie being omitted was tactical, that is one hell of a huge fuck up
Subbing Auba for Traore when you need a goal is also a terrible move. Auba has been shit, sure, but Traore, Dembele and Ferran aren't scoring for shit

Auba's scoring a goal every 96 minutes, almost at Benzema stats, mostly from crosses since that's what Xaviball's tunnel visioned into. Obviously Xavi's giving detailed instructions for every player/position and I see it holding Auba back a lot. He should be given freedom to roam more and link with others.

we need better midfielders, but pedri and gavi need experience, you can't expect them to ball out in europe at the age they're at right now

How many times not just tonight but recently has Gavi been making dribbles only to get pressured off the ball when he resorts to fishing for fouls with his head down when he should be looking for passes instead with his head up before the defender gets him. But just like Adama and now Dembele tonight I don't see teammates giving them options. I think no-urgency jogging Pedri ethic is rubbing off on others after all the praise he's been given for his recent goals.

Good about that, but they need to look at the mirror. Not blame grass, like in the first game or the fans in the second. Frankfurt outplayed us in both games. There's no excuse.

This team dipped at the worst possible time. Total collapse last few weeks. Real game got to their heads and they thought they are hot shit. What a brutal awakening .

The inconsistency is maddening. Just when you think we've turned the corner this happens.

I think this task if turning around the clubs fortunes is alot harder than we initially thought. I thought 3-4 years but clearly it's going to take longer.

Yes. The pitch was bad and it felt like playing away from home. But these aren't major talking points and don't really want Xavi to focus on them the night he lost it all.
