I kinda fail to see Tata's point of overplaying Xavi this way. At least he was subbed off but that missed penalty made it worse.
Would really like to see Xavi transition to more of a bench role. He's fading fast. I can't even pinpoint what's different in his game as opposed to his last truly legendary performance( Euro 2012 final) but something is missing. I want to see some more of the Fabregas, Busquets, Iniesta combo.
Also, no more direct free kicks for Xavi please.

They don't compliment each other very well and both want to play in an advanced attacking role on the left side. It leaves too much for Busquets to clean up and little cover whenever we lose possession.
At this exact moment we really don't have a replacement for Xavi. Looks like ter Stegen will be coming in so we have a GK but we need a CB & either Oliver Torres or Gundogan to work under Xavi until he decides to call it a career.
