I honestly think that Busquets is capable of doing Xavi's job in the midfield. He has the qualities. It's only because he is being restricted in his role at DM that we haven't seen his other qualities. Though he is less agile than Xavi, he is still technically gifted, has the vision and has the ability to play the ball out of pressure. I hope Luis will test him in Xavi's role at some point next season.
With that being said, I still hope he stays, not as a starter though (if Cesc stays). A Giggs role will suit him perfectly.

He said many times that he didn't know if he's going to retire at Barca.
I also feel like that the departure of Puyi & Valdes and the fact that he'll retire after this world cup make him understand that a new page of his career is gonna be written.

Valdes, Puyol, Cesc and perhaps Alves and Xavi leaving at the same time would be too much.
How many guys did Pep clear out when he became incharge of the first team?
If Xavi and Cesc both leaves. I fear worst days ahead for the club. Please don't leave Xavi. we need you for atleast another season..
But if Xavi refuses a lesser role I believe it would be best for him to move on. We can't have him thinking he is still 26. Xavi with a lesser role (although an important one) will be great
