Dont you mean the spanish joe allen. Can anyone else see him possibly linking up with pep at city as a coach to hone his skills before returning home

Hope not. He learned from pep while being his main man 2008-2012. There is nothing to learn in England from tactical and technical aspect of the game imo. Not dissing them simply matter of style we are looking for.
I am still kinda disappointed at him for going to Qatar for earning even more money and wasting his time.

Should go to Italy and spend some time there as most of todays best coaches did (Simeone, pep, Mou, Conte, Carlo..)

Pep himself was one of the guys who recommended Qatar to Xavi,Aspire is a gr8 academy and Pep told him he will learn a lot there.
Also Xavi was too old for such a move and he himself said that He never imagined playing anywhere in Europe other than Barca. The decision to play in Qatar was the right decision for him.will learn a lot, live in a very good country and earn ton of money and even his siblings will benefit from it.

Live where in a "very good country"? You taking a piss?

I know dozen of people living there and every one of them will say the same thing
Every footballer who lived there said the same thing.
I am not sure why everyone is acting like Qatar is the devil. I am not a fan of them but the media have been harsh on them since they won the 2022 WC host over Australia & USA.

You are taking a piss. But then again I heard weirder stuff.
If anything the media haven't been critical enough and that's because many of those backward and fundamendalist countries like Qatar are US and UK best allies so you won't hear them complain loud about human rights etc.

Fuck secular Syria where Christians and Muslims live like brothers, let's back Al Nusra and other "moderates", Sharia law and whatever fuck Qatar sponsors.

First of all,Qatar doesn't sponsor any of those,I hate it when western talks about Arab world like they know a shit about it.if anything a more celebrated UAE has caused way more damage for example. At least Qatar dare to go against KSA well
Second,Assuming you are right _which you are far from it_ I said it is a gr8 country to "live" in.and since Xavi is no human rights activist or a low salary worker he will live a gr8 life in such country. That is from many people who live there.from friends, acquaintances to even many footballers like Xavi himself,Batistuta,Pep,Effenberg and the list goes on and on.

1.Qatar through it's proxies does sponsor terrorism and extremists around the globe. If you are oblivious to that fact, that's your problem. I won't waste time writing paragraphs about as their links to terrorists and extremists have been proven countless times.

2. I am not a "Westerner" as I was born in Eastern Europe so you missed a point again in your bigotry (judging by your comment you must think little of poor Indians working there as well as Westerners).
And I will talk about any subject that I please thankyouverymuch, particularly about that subject, as I studied at University of Political Sciences and having read dozen books on geopolitics.

3. "Great country to live in" is in the end a subjective topic. Many folk thought early days Yugoslavia in communism was great to live in. Not sure about those killed and persecuted.
I reckon your definition of "great country to live in" is different than mine as we have different values.

Do remind me to dismiss your comment next time you write something about European football. After all, you are from Egypt.

Bigotry? lol.I hate Qatar like anyone else because they fucked my country for their own profit.but I am objective guy who know what he is talking bout.I know people who dedicated their whole life for that.diplomats who had to work with them and people who made Phd about it.I know people who wrote the books. And I understand the religious complication of it.And I know how every country in the region has fucked their people or other countries up.Qatar isn't half a devil in comparison to other countries.there is a blood on their hand for sure.
But after all you are the one who said about how bad there is no Nasser in the horizon. That alone speaks volume about your knowledge about the middle east and
Edit :And one thing we agree for sure,gr8 country to live is subjective. But it isn't your value vs mine.It is a bout a rich footballers value. From Pep to Xavi all of them only cared about living their own life.Pep has way stronger ties to Qatar than Xavi for example and was supporter of them hosting 2022 WC.
Again, for someone like Xavi,it is a gr8 place to live.many don't care about the political aspect or even the human rights. As a guy who study politics I think you should know that better
PS:I was mistaken about labeling you western, and I stand corrected

This knowledge is a bit obscure for me.... I always thought the same too. That countries like Qatar are the ones who proxy support terrorism. But after the attacks in Turkey and yesterday the attack in Baghdad in Ramadan celebrations, I am a bit lost really.

In fact, now I am beginning to think that if somebody do support terrorism in a proxy, it is probably out of force more than out of willingness?

World is in a mess now

Is america not the worst for supporting terrorism. They used to have lots of fundraising events for the ira as well as giving shit loads of money to some guy bin laden back in the 80s

Qatar have individual wahhabists who have donated to terror organisations, yes, but from a formal perspective, they donate a lot of charity to the Free Syrian Army.

Free what? Even Pentagon (their financiers too) stated that majority of them are extreme islamists. There's a vast list of crimes against humanity they perpetrated.

Reason for war in Syria is not Assad. There are many autocratic leaders in Middle East and countries with far far worse state of human rights.
Only reason for war is Syria standing up to Israel and US neocolonial politics.
