Dude you are tripping again.

Clubs monitoring schedule and sleep of their athletes is a thing since 20 years ago.
Have you never heard?

On the contrary, what the arch-clown Pique, and his Amigos, have established at Barca, is a violation of every sense of professionalism

pique and amigos are model unprofessionals

If the rules are nonsense then Xavi and the club hierarchy are cowards. These are very fair rules and should be expected at a top club. The fact they're not already in place is a joke.

All the advances in sports science and nutrition and the club is only just saying they should eat something they have prepared to give them the maximum benefit of their diet.

As if this is a difficult thing anyway. You wake up a millionaire, get driven or drive whatever car you want to "work". Then when you get to "work" professional chefs have laid out breakfast options for you. Oh the horror!

Exactly

" Dressing room heavyweights do not agree with all of the new rules imposed by the club"

Oh shit guys, gonna be locked room drama already?

I think squad will fall out with Xavi he came at bad time and risks losing friendships

They can always fuck off and retire.

In other news, apparently, Conte is not happy with the diet of several Tottenham players. Among others, he has banned ketchup and mayonnaise because some players are fat. Also, some players were dead after a training session after playing Vitesse the night before.

It is for this reason that in this short time in office, the Italian has emphasized nutrition, imposing on his team to have lunch together at noon, also removing heavy food and sandwiches from the menu, such as reducing the amount of fruit juice, amount of oil and butter, in addition to urging to eat more fruit.

 If Tottenham players are unfit and have a bad diet, then what makes ours?

Conte would last 30 minutes here before resigning bro.

He will slap Laporta and start fights with the captain's over training and diets instantly

Here comes the king of spreadsheets, the Lord of pivot tables.

I was just pointing out that you can't compare sleeping paterns of different players, since they are different. Also, please point out which football players have minimum hours of sleep as clauses in their contracts. Are these players constantly monitored so that club can asses who sleeps enough and who doesn't? Don't think so.

Sure they probably have periods when they get monitored, for different studies or to help guys that have problems sleeping.

For example Ronaldo is a power napper. He doesn't sleep like other people. Do they monitor him and ask why he hasn't slept 8 hours through the night?

Pique is just not top level anymore. No other top club has a 34 year old starting CB. Hours of sleep over night is just stuff for clicks. Not saying it doesn't help, but that's not the issue with the likes of Pique.

If Xavi had come to Barcelona with Messi, he would not have been the leader, because the leader was Messi. Xavi has come now because Messi is now gone.

Ok and people wonder why Pep sold him lol

"When he arrived, I reminded Guardiola that he'd never been a great player. I told him in no uncertain terms that Eto'o was the one who would make him win."

"I did a lot for the club. Guardiola was unlucky enough to have to play me for twenty minutes against Chivas and I scored three goals. From then on, he never had the courage to say things to my face. I didn't want to talk to him until he apologised to me."

" I only spoke to him twice after, the first was when he asked me to help resolve a problem with Yaya Toure, I told him to get lost and the second time was when Pep wanted to give me lessons on how to be a striker when he was a midfielder.

I said to him, 'You're not normal, are you?' I've won the golden boot in Spain. I then went on to win a treble and another treble with his enemy Mourinho.

The true story is that Pep never respected these things in the world of football."

We need Puig to stand up to Xavi in same way if he isn't starting

good, honestly didn't knew that. i was calling bullshit story these rumors on how xavi handles stuff.

pique sleeping 4-5 hours a night is not anyone's business. if the manager thinks he has a good level in training and he's being professional, then who cares if he sleeps 4 hours or 7?

I don't agree with you here. As a chronic insomniac, sleep is very important to a normal person. For an athlete at the highest level is quintessential. Wouldn't put it past Pique to brag a bit with that, he seems like the sort of person who can brag about the most stupid things.

Of course sleep is important
Is it also important for an extreme expert of any field to feel some sort of trust from his boss?

I dislike rules like this, but maybe it will have an immediate effect for this team. Let us see. Of course it is very important, even crucial, that Xavi gets total, final authority, but it's a sign of weakness if he enforces a lot of rules like these. Maybe it is needed for him at this stage.

Not needed for him. Needed for team. Time to get in shape after 8 years.

If the players dont like it they can fuck off.

Lets go Xavi time to teach some discipline.

If Bobo32 arrived, or Quique Setien, he would probably have to enforce a lot of rules to get 'respect' from these players, or to get them to do what he wanted.
I had a thought that Xavi Hernandez would be able to get these players to show up when he wanted to without threatening them with a fine of a couple of hundred euros or whatever.
Xavi Hernandez doesn't believe he could get them to do that, and it tells you as much about Xavi as it does about the players, I think.

I think a lot of coaches would like to operate like Xavi if they could (especially when entering a club that is in crisis), but they need to have complete backing of board to do so and also this team lacks star players and power which makes it possible.
